Shirley,
Thanks for the kind words. I'm sorry that I haven't responded earlier but I work full time and am also a full time graduate student so free time is something of a luxury. ![]() Keep up the great work! The Cybernaughts are blessed to have you (but we'll steal you given half the chance!) ![]() Regards, Richard |

Sorry Ski, hope you didn't hurt yourself
![]() Sometimes the classes I'm taking make me feel 'ignert' I'm doing ok but it's costing me... No time for NASCAR, no time for NFL, no time for beer, no time for _______ <--- fill in the blank. Can't wait for it to end so that I may just relax for a bit. (And *no* I am *NOT* going for a Doctorate. The human brain can only take so much abuse!) R/ Richard ![]() ![]() All this folding is starting to feel like origami! |

Hi MadCow and Bumper Thumper -
----------------------------------------Thank you both for bumping the USMC team thread. Your continued help and support is really appreciated. BTW - Bumper Thumper (BT/BB/CC) what happened to the delightful bunny graphic you had included in your original bump, it was cool, why don't you repost it. Also, I have a suspicion that you are related to BB and/or CC from north of Seattle, send me an email if you are. Thanks again and Semper Fi to you both ... Now let's keep folding those proteins... ![]() .. United States Marine Corps .. |

Hi leatherneck74-84
----------------------------------------You got me rolling on the deck, at first you sound as if you went through DI school at PI, and then ended up with one or more tours on Okinawa. LOL - I guess you were referring to the above when you wrote Sorry Ski, hope you didn't hurt yourself LMAO - not to worry, although its been over 43 years since I was on active duty, I still remember enough of my Marine Corps training so I can fall on the deck without hurting myself. However, it does gets easier to fall down if I do it after spending the evening bending my elbow at a local slop shoot. I'm doing ok but it's costing me... No time for NASCAR, no time for NFL, no time for beer, no time for _______ <--- fill in the blank. Now, that's what I call sacrifice, no NASCAR, oh you missed a good race today - no NFL, oh that's ok (its baseball season now) - BUT NO TIME FOR BEER and no time for fill in the blank makes for a real hardship life. Just thinking of all the things that can be put in to the blank is staggering. All kidding aside, you maybe right about the value (ROI) of a PhD, but I can assure you that your sacrifice and efforts today for your advanced education will payoff big-time in the future. All this folding is starting to feel like origami! Origami! huh, wish I had thought of that, all I could think of besides folding proteins was folding pretzels. Can you believe it? The local high school team mascot here in Freeport, Illinois, USA is a pretzel. Also, while I'm here, I might mention one other thing, you don't have to have a signature block, but in case you missed it here's a link to instructions for how to add an automatic forum signature block to all your forum posts http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/...thread=1803&offset=36 Once again, thank you for your continued support for the WCG and team USMC , take care and Semper Fi Richard !!! Hi everyone - This is actually a bump for the USMC team thread, however ...
----------------------------------------Since I am here and I have been wondering ... how many of you were influenced to join the USMC team because of this thread. I am trying to determine if this is a realistic way to recruit new team mates as only 6 of the 16 current USMC team members joined after this team thread was even created. If you feel so inclined, please reply to this post with the reason you decided to join team USMC, no matter when you joined. You don't have to be specific - your reply can be as simple as "I joined because of this USMC team thread." or " I joined for some other reason." there's no need for explanation unless you wish to do so. Thank you in advance for your response. Of course this thread had no influence for me, I joined team USMC for some other reason. I wanted to associate my contributions with like minded people and show that Marines, past and present as well as friends of the Corps will come together to support a worthy humanitarian effort. Semper Fi team mates and now ... Let's keep folding those proteins... ![]() .. United States Marine Corps .. |
