Always good to see Cargod01 sharp and snappy.

I see you are a Lt. Cmdr. Maybe I should kick our team captain about kicking you a notch.

shock Re: The Manifest(s)

What do you mean Cmdr. Cargod. Same uniform, just different rank. biggrin

Soon I will have a new crew manifest report reflecting this and other changes. All humans will now have the base rank of Ensign. What this means is everyone moves up a notch. Dont worry, you're worth it!! So consider the promo to ships chief exec permanent.

Also it has come to my attention that the operational manifesto is incomplete. In the past, this manifest is best described by my letter mousie, known at the time of the letter as Pinky:
During my tour as captain at grid.org and now at WCG, there were many very trying moments in the forums. One such moment I would like to enter into exhibit not to so much show the gravity of the matters that we faced, but more to show this teams ability to understand the needs of such a diverse community:

Dearest Pinky the Mouse,

OH MY GOD! I'm so sorry! For the longest time, I have thought you to be an elf. I wish for you to accept my apology and extreme regret for this obvious social foepaw. This transgression along with a statement that occurred during an earlier post (associated with the usage of the term 'mouse trap') was not intended as a threat to you or anyone of your species. Further, these two occurrences of seeming misconduct are actually unrelated incidents and not part of any predatory pattern.

As soon as I was informed of these errors by a concerned third party, the related post was immediately deleted. All that have responded to the post have been informed of this misconception and have been also informed that "I, in no way, condone the use of this crude and very cruel device." Some have even mentioned openly that it was my love of cats as being the primary motivator for what could only be seen as 'a threat to all rodents'. Please, rest assured that this is not the case.

As ___In2My.Net___ Team Captain, it is my responsibility to represent and respect ALL species that grid here effectively, without bias or threat of harm. Whether in my team or not, even if indirectly. Furthermore, all possible steps are being taken to prevent such species assignment identification problems in the future. This includes you as well as all rodentia, bovid, avian, canidae, ichthyoid, feluccas, amphibia, reptilia, primate, elf, fairy and other vertebrates; all the way to responding to the needs, customs and the civil structures of various species of invertebrates, insecta and arachnids. In addition, special provisions have been made to include corporeal and non-corporeal life from other planets (sentient or otherwise).

It is my fervent desire, as well as the desire of the ___In2My.Net___ team, to respect the civil, moral and spiritual needs of this community and it's constituency, in a positive and efficacious way. This list of affects identified with these constituencies include, but is not limited to: race, gender (current or past), sexual orientation (current or past), ethnicity, skin/fur/hair/scale/feather in size/length/color, religion, placement and/or size of ears/eyes/nose (if applicable), political affiliation(s), length of tail(s) (whether or not reticulated), antenna(s) or other sensory appendages, number of limbs or extremities (including opposable forefinger(s)), length and/or number of horn(s)/antler(s)/fang(s) or dentate (both in position and alignment), relative physical overall size (whether or not it is natural for your species), natural migratory range, and/or nationality or point of origin (on earth or elsewhere); living, dead or otherwise.

I wish, at this time, to make a special inclusion for various fermented food products, funguses and other microbes. Breaking down the barriers that exist between the cheese, mouse, cat and human sects. With hopes of bringing about a successful consortium.

Again, I wish to express my deepest regrets Pinky, but if you or any rodent here should feel that compensation is in order due to personal and/or property damage because of these inappropriate actions, please feel free to contact me at your earliest possible convenience. I am sure that we can find a course the will bring effective reconciliation, without the need for lengthy and costly legal proceedings.

I will look forward to further communication in respect to this matter in the near future.

Kindest regards,
Courine
Team Captain, ___In2My.Net___

PS, If I find that mouse sized keyboard on the Internet again. I will pick up one for you. I'm sure it will reduce the fatigue caused by having to jump from key to key when pumping out your posts.

Re: The Manifest(s)

I put up a game server in Mechwarrior, the game I play online. It serves more than games though. It is a test to see if the grid working in background effects play. It also is a great way to let people know about the team here.

I have had to lay low when it comes to recruiting in Mech4. The crowd would make mincemeat of this forum. Now days though, Much of the negative elements have fled, so have opened a way for those who would see this as a benefit to get here.

I got my core2 duo back up. What I didnt know was how much of a power guzzeler it was. I may have had to shell out a few bucks, but will make it back in power savings.

I should have put the meter on this system sooner. But the messurments I did in the past were really on the whole bench.

Dual cores may suck a little more power, but what is the KWH per unit crunched compared to a core solo?
