THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BILLINGS HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY EVENING THROUGH MONDAY EVENING.

HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS CAN BE EXPECTED BY SUNDAY NIGHT AND CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY AS HEAVY WET SNOW DEVELOPS OVER THE AREA. THE HEAVY EARLY SEASON SNOW MAY ALSO CAUSE DOWNED TREE LIMBS AND POWER LINES...RESULTING IN THE POTENTIAL FOR WIDESPREAD POWER OUTAGES. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 4 TO 10 INCHES MAY BE COMMON BY MONDAY AFTERNOON...WITH TOTALS OVER 10 INCHES POSSIBLE LOCALLY.

Oh boy, sea all around climate, 15C. We dropped here from shorts and polo shirt on Monday morning at 26C to a full polar air flush in. By Tuesday night 2C and first snow [capellino] on the large Maiella park mountain, 23 days late from mean. The Hermits there must feel it.

The typical acute change with the Balkan's and beyond in the east brought severe storms, thunder, hail, rain in a day that normally takes the whole month passing through. We had to clear several healthy old oaks that blew over the road, dead end but for the Fiat 500 sized cars, so traffic hardly impaired. A tornado [tromba] scraped through on Wednesday, so we had an eventful week... now 12.2C. Let's call it a global weather change ;>)
