overcast but not too cold (to us, that is, parents back from mediterranean holiday are complaining about the "cold" (sic))

Evening all

Overcast and humid here but still no rain of any consequence.

The only problem I have with bird feeding is keeping the squirrels at bay. Their greed knows no end despite the monkey nuts I put out for them. There's no use putting food on the bird table and they do have a try at the bird feeder despite it hanging from the clothes line. Grease balls seem the only things they don't seem interested in.
The bigger birds station themselves under the feeder and pick up the fall out but they have to watch out for a neighbour's cat who is a hunter and sits under a nearby bush hoping for a chance to leap.
So far she has had no luck whatsoever.

and so to bed, perchance to dream...Night all

Phew ........! Hot again, bright sun! Must try and get the chores done before I melt!
