Re: The green green grass

hehe my dad moved through a loooooong series of self-made contraptions before throwing the towel and buying some of these
the squirrels then moved on to another prey
we have several big nut-trees (there should be a better word for this...now I have this image of trees doing silly things) cherry-trees, prune-trees and so on
I think on average we eat about 5 cherries, 2 nuts and the odd prune because the squirrels get it all...but then they're really cute and in a few generations we might even persuade them to eat out of our hands cool

overcast and a bit cool here

Re: The green green grass

Evening all

Much sun again today, excellent for all the bed linen out on the line.

Interesting gadget Scribe but I'm not sure whether it would work for me. The squirrel hangs upside down from the line and merely picks the seeds out of the hole with one paw. It's still a small loss so the birds still have plenty.

They are, however, pretty stupid. There is a walnut tree two doors away and they strip that well before the nuts are anywhere near complete inside the casing and so get virtually nothing to eat, just remove the chance of anyone else getting any useful fruit.
