Re: The green green grass

Good morning one and all....

Suns shining, birds are singing, grass needs cutting, dog needs walkies, and I? I need a rest already!

Hope you are all well, "sparrers" are still around Peter. My garden is full of them! Perhaps they are up here on holisay? cool

Re: The green green grass

Evening all

Have not long got back from a rather boozy reunion of cricketers who played for my old company team most of which I haven't seen since the late 1960s.

When you get over the shock, they do look just as they did running about on the field all those years ago.

I am now on the list for a call once every six months to a very old pub in London Bridge.

Walked back through the city to Liverpool Street station bringing back memories of when I first started work in the City.

Re: The green green grass

Good morning one and all,
Busy day again today, hope to scarify the lawn and get rid of some of the clover, seems to be rather a lot of it this year. Good day to get some washing on the line too!

Re: The green green grass

Evening all

I'm just surprised you can even see the clover. All I can see is like a scorched earth back garden. Rain has been threatened a few times but, here, the drought continues.

Village gardening this morning with threats that the all England committee due at the beginning of August count every weed in the pavement as negative marks. I rather hope we just get knocked out of this competitive circle and relax to clear up the spots we feel could do with a face lift.

Re: The green green grass

The all England committee should regard

Weeds / green growth between flags bricks as rustic environmental enhancement encouraging the insect life that is in decline We are supposed to be popping out today for 15 mins to see what flutterbyes we can see
and report back
