Re: WCGrid_Rosetta.exe at 100% CPU

Not sure what to tell you. This obviously isn't supposed to happen and I have it running on my XP c4eb builds (and many instances in our lab) with no problems.

The first question I have (not related to your problem) is why do you think it's interfering with your work? I notice you have 2GB of RAM. Are you always using around 2GB? If not, it shouldn't interfere at all. It runs at the lowest priority, so it's not interfering CPU-wise.

Back to the problem:
You say it's intermittent. When do you notice this problem? Immediately after returning from the screensaver? Is Rosetta still going after 5 minutes?

You can also email or ST me. Look me up in bluepages.

No worries, will wait to get contacted internally. I am up to date on Windows patches and can not see WC installed as a service. -Alex

Re: WCGrid_Rosetta.exe at 100% CPU

Things go bump in the night. This thing bumped into my head last night. Have you had any other non native XP screen saver on that machine? If you have, then there is another lead. Some of them are quite invasive and could have horsed someting up.
