@GPU Crunchers: It is worth upgrading your driver to nVidia 190.38 and your .dll's to CUDA 2.3. I have a noticiable improvement especially for 9800GT's. Howdy MOT. ![]() Hi DM, I installed that driver and the temperature of my card jumped 8C (to 58C) at idle with the fan running at 100% and not crunching. Normally, my card runs at 50C at idle with the fan running at 40%. There are some major problems with that driver and I can't recommend installing it. I'm sure a new one will be out in a week or two that fixes that.

Wow! While my nurse was here, the building fire alarm went off. Three trucks, two ambulances, the Fire Chief and somebody else on the Fire Department that rates one of their SUV's responded. I think one of my neighbors over-cooked the bacon.

Am at the Secular Students Alliance (http://www.secularstudents.org/ ) conference in Columbus, Ohio for the next four days. I'll probably mention WCG and F@H when I speak about Humanism and service. Fingers crossed for a surge of new sign-ups! |

Cooler GPU temps (~41C idle and ~50-55C OC'ed @ 100% fan). The highest temps are the middle card in the three-card machines. But the benefit is shorter run times on the 9800's at both GPUGrid and AQUA. I really can't benchmark AQUA though as every batch is still a different science app with a "revised" credit structure. I think I am going to try some Collatz Conjecture GPU when we pass The Knights Who Say Ni for 9th place in about two weeks. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

These are designed for a RAID, so I shouldn't have this problem again. But, since I am going to be reinstalling XP, Vista, and Win7 all weekend long ![]() I'm also going to be installing the 32-bit versions of everything. I had too many compatability issues with the 64-bit versions of Vista and Win7. Unless I upgrade my scanners and printers (and quite a bit of other stuff), it looks like I'm stuck in the 32-bit world for a while. How's the Aqua GPU stuff going? Did they fix the WU's so the screen isn't so jumpy?
