Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

While this snow accompanied seasonal temperature change will not stop me crunching, the Tory Taxes might.
Conspicuous by their absence has been the reporting on the rise in price of just about everything; Fuel, Electric, Consumer goods, travel prices, insurance, and food is set to rise. Only the odd passing mention in the press. Go back a year or so to when the media was attacking Labour, and every day the price of fuel was in the news. Well now fuel is much higher than then. Looks like I am paying for a TV licence for state controlled media. By the end of their 5 year tax-hike plan only the escapee banksters will be able to afford to crunch.

The global change that is going to hit home hard this year is the global Vat hike on top of existing price hikes, and what for? To pay off the debt created by fraudulent banksters such as madoff - one of many. While the banks are now borrowing at (0.5%) they are allowed to charge much more in loan and overdraft interests, but offer fewer loans and mortgages and charge more for services, now the public not only has to pay off the banksters fraud bills but pay even more Vat, a global-tax change if there ever was one.

Quote from Mr.Huhne.
He said prices would rise by less than they would without the measures.

Whose crystal ball did he use to come up with that conclusion? Bureaucratic morons one and all.

Eso as you appear to be the last man standing could you explain the above by the use of the Political Tool called the Theory of MMGW?

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Just as the Medieval warming (warmer than current times) was due to an upward fluctuation in solar output (magnetic being the most important part) the current deep solar quiet is about to give us lots of cooling. Anticipated to last only 16 months the deep solar quiet is up around 28 months. Orbital epicycles that affect the process (neutron repulsion) in the core of the sun, cause output fluctuation. “Renowned Croatian Physicist” and ice age expert, Professor Vladimir Paar predicts that the glaciation cycle long expected is imminent. Even IPCC Scientist “If my name wasn’t Mojib Latif, it would be global warming”, says a “mini ice age” began last winter. He says for 20 to 30 years. Since Professor Paar indicates we have maybe 5 years before the glaciation begins, a 70,000 year event. We had our nice warm Holocene, it was great. If Professor Paar is wrong then we might only have a 100 to 200 year little ice age as the proof has now been done (by Japanese climate science researchers) that deep solar quiet leads to such things. https://stevengoddard.wordpress.com/2010/12/0...olar-cycles-with-climate/

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Absolute classic this morning

As I braved my way across the snow overlying an inch thick sheet of glass like ice a day before the winter solstice, knee caps never colder, on the way to work. I could hear the sound of the sandwich van as it made it's way around the industrial estate playng out it's little ditty.

As ever it was playing out like an ice cream van

You Are My Sunshine
My only sunshine.
You make me happy
When skies are grey.
You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away

I couldn't contain the guffaw biggrin

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Here's a handy bit of info I stumbled across

Realtime UK Electricity consumption in MWh's

peaking at 62GWh today

You can see the rest of the info at http://www.nationalgrid.com/uk/Electricity/Data/Realtime/Demand/demand24.htm

I wonder why it went that much higher today thinking

Do you think it might be because of this? wink

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

marysduby here are a few more graphs

http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/SolarCycle/

The Sun is showing a shortfall on the forecast for the number of spots (area's of activity on the Sun's surface) that were predicted to be there by now.

which might be why this (yet another graph) is showing a shortfall on the "Man Made Global Warming" that should be there by now

December 2010 (-0.1C to date) is currently shaping up in the UK to being the 7th coldest December in the last 352 years which will make it the coldest December in the UK since 1890

http://hadobs.metoffice.com/hadcet/mly_cet_mean_sort.txt

Unbelievably powerful this Man Made Warming effect on our Climate

Unbelievable wink
