Back larger than Canada

Tipping point? I don't think so

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Finally they have seen the light

http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2012/dec/0...uel-duty-autumn-statement

It was untenable

Already duty is 57.95p a litre of petrol or diesel. And then you add VAT at 20% of the the sales price (including the Duty)

Currently Petrol is 131.9 p per litre

Petrol price as sold by the Petrol Station 51.97p per litre the remainder is Tax

Very nearly 80p per litre ($4.87 Tax per US Gallon !)

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

A poem by Horatio:
“Ignorance is Bliss”
– by Horatio Algeranon

My ignorance is ascendant
My analysis, independent
Of reality itself,
Which really is a help.

A visualization of the amount of CO2, in solid, of what just the state of New York spits out daily. One Megaton:

© Carbon Visuals.

Humanity spits out > 30 Gigatonnes each year, nicely helping to change the climate and increasing the atmospheres capacity to retain heat, and hold 7% more water vapor per 1 centigrade of increase... what goes up, does come down... lifetime of a water molecule in the atmosphere is these days less... used to be 10 days, now an estimated average of 9 days. That *is* reality.

Key word in that sentence is estimated.
That *is* my reality.

Fixed it for you. wink

I don't know how much you know about New Yorkers, Sek but it would not affect them at all. They would just name it "The Manhattan Ski Resort" and sell lift tickets and T-Shirts. wink
