Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

47.2mph at LaGuardia International Airport New York is the highest wind speed I can find tonight

and I think the worst is over

The very bottom of Force 9 on the Beaufort Scale

9 = 47.2mph - < 55.2mph Strong Gale

Note strong gale, as in not a hurricane wink

They will cry wolf once too often

Then when a real tight Catherine Wheel of a Storm comes barrelling along there will be great loss of life

Why the hype? You know why

and one day this hype will cost lives

Night all

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

25.2 m/s at LaGuardia International Airport as the other side of the storm passed through - this is over 5 m/s higher than any of the other stations in the vicinity

56.4 mph Beaufort Force 10 = Storm

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

[In the style of a Climate Alarmist]

"The rate of return of North Polar Sea Ice is increasing alarmingly year on year" said an alarmed amateur observer

In 2012, in just 45 days since the Sea Ice Minima was reached, an alarming 4,111,406 sq kms of Sea Ice has returned up until the end of October

In 2011 it was 3,517,968 sq kms, in 2010 3,261,406 sq kms, in 2009 just 2,903,282 sq kms

To put this in perspective, alarmingly, Sea Ice twice the size of Greenland has regrown in just 45 days!

At the alarming rate of return seen so far this year the whole of the Northern Hemisphere would be engulfed in alarming Sea Ice in less than 8 years

Coupled with the unprecedented growth and record breaking Sea Ice extent seen at the South Pole this year some may deny it but something drastic has to be done about the Pigeon droppings.

There's a direct correlation between the alarming rate of Sea Ice return and the incidence of bird lime I have to remove from my car and Governments are not taking any action just allowing Birds to fly freely in the air.

Throughout 2009 I did not have a car, zero droppings, and as you can see the Sea Ice growth slowed. In 2011 I had a car for just 5 months. Over the last 12 Months my parking spot has been under a tree and we are just beginning to understand the dreadful consequences that were not predicted by our Models. We need to get back to the Pigeon Emissions last seen in 2009. It is alarmingly clear the Pigeons have already broken the Climate. It's worse than we thought and we may have already breached the tipping point.

Tax the Pigeons or our Grandchildren may never know what running water is

n.b. All the facts are true in the post above

see http://wattsupwiththat.com/reference-pages/sea-ice-page/

But that doesn't make it the truth
