We can always DIY badges into our own signatures:
----------------------------------------------------- NRW - 5 Years, HFCC - 5 Years, HCMD2 - 3 Years... |

I had not seen this before (forum and badge), but the badges for AfricanClimate@Home appear to have a different quantity of run time for all of the badges. The sapphire only requires 75 days and the bronze, less than a day. I am wondering if the badges for certain projects might be adjusted to a different amount of processing time (in particular I am thinking of DDDT2).

That would make sense for smaller projects and would possibly help prevent task hording by badge hunters. Fortunately they have implemented other methods to reduce task-hording. However WRT the DDDT2 badge, so far we are less than one percent of the way through the project, so there should be plenty of time to get the badge, should the project complete; I am not sure about the long term viability of the DDDT2 project, it seems to have many problems, and I am sure the techs dont want to nurse it at the expense of supporting several other projects. I get the feeling they bit off more than they can chew with that one. Certainly the initial estimate for finishing in September seems unlikely.
I feel for those that do not yet have a badge for DDDT2 and have had their systems set to receive tasks since the outset. |

Glad they are of use. I hope you can add a few more over the next few months, and perhaps a few others might find them useful too,

Certainly the initial estimate for finishing in September seems unlikely. That was only a guess for a chart at some point in time. There has not been any official/authorised end of project estimate I can remember. Which seems reasonable for a project which is still in its ramping-up mode. ![]() |

I find it a source of poignant amusement.
My initial lack of participation was due to a lack of precipitation, and of course, ignorance. Three years on, new crunchers are in the same situation. |
