finish it!

Ouch! That hurts.
My post was peaceful and with humor. It seems we do not share the same sense of humor. Don't bother no harm done. biggrin
Ah yes I understand, you are probably member of the High Crunchers Club. wink

@Hypernova, judson Somerville MD was referring to the quote in Sek's post from Dr Anderson about finishing some code to allow per CPU, GPU restrictions. I don't think it was meant personally against you.

I appreciate the enthusiasm that members have for the projects here. I don't appreciate the personal attacks, however, such as accusing someone of "false humility." I wish we had more crunchers like Hypernova. We are all crunching here because we believe in these projects and wish to help benefit humanity. Let's leave the personalities at home.

100% agree with you.

I really would like to see all people leaving yours egos, wild words and "guns", out of WCG forums.

In my humble opinion, the main focus here must be help humanity crunching some or all sciences projects provided by WCG.

Let's just do it !

Words are roughly 6% of communication,
Please, if a post can be misunderstood,
or appear to have multiple meanings,
ESPECIALLY with smileys thrown in there to convey humor etc.
take it in the lightest manner possible.
I have not always taken my own advice, esp with the spoken word,
but hopefully am learning, a little anyways most days.
peace to all

Ok, more drought expected...

https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,29007

The process of testing A,B, and C work units will take up to 2 weeks by our estimates. We will not be sending new work for DDDT2 until these are done.

Good news is, type A work units should run a lot quicker than before :) And type C's should run twice as long as before (atleast that is the backroom chatter with the researchers).

Thanks,
-Uplinger

This is all good advice.
I would like to add another one, for Judson in this particular case but for everybody in general: when posting in a busy thread like this one, if you are not answering the post just before yours please insert an unambiguous quote of what you are answering to**. It helps following the thread, and it can also help avoid such incidents.

Thanks for understanding.

** No need to quote the whole post. Quoting only what triggers your answer is enough, and even better.

Reads like a whole lot of extra hours are in the making.

36,000 A types at 1/5th the time
22 million C-Types at double the time.

Anyone up for roughing out the equation? The DDDT2 performance chart reasonably well indicates the run times for each of the dance-in-rain sessions. The Beta chart in a few days will show how these 72 did, but think those times will be slightly optimistic [not a representative sample]

But are the relative numbers of C vs B vs A the same, or has some of the Type A work been shifted further down the pecking order?
