Re: ok340 Not OK

I have four of these errors (exit at nblist.cc line 711) over the past few days, up to five hours CPU time lost. The last error was for ol519_ 00026_ 10--.

HPF2 is the only project showing errors (I'm running "all projects"), it happens only on my one Win 7 64-bit box (not on Mac or Linux), and it appears to affect just me among 20 or so wingmen.
Among those 20 there's bound to be other people running Win 7, so it has to be something not very common.

by any chance are you running FA@H on the same system.. if so that still is a known issue that tends to cause this error
I was suspecting drivers (Asus Z68 motherboard, Asus HD 6950 graphics), but I do run FA@H as well. (As well as Folding@home and a whole bunch of other, presumably unrelated, stuff.)

BTW, I also have a Linux (Ubuntu 10.10) box running FA@H as well, but I haven't seen those errors there.

EDIT: Ok, I didn't notice SekeRob's reply right before mine. So it's a known error, and the only known fix is to ignore it or exclude HPF2 from crunching?

No, was just running HPF2 (no GPU's) and when 3 machines next requested work, all wu's immediate errored. Opted out for now. I'll boot these machines in a few minutes and try again.

Apparently this is something caused by the beta test. All is OK after a boot. The machines have not run anything but HPF2 and Beta in the last several days. No harm, no foul. smile

There was no reoccurance but I have to ask the question. Is this condition going to prevent crunching the new project and HPF2 together? Should we test for it in the next round? confused

I got 8 more errors today on a machine that has been off since the beta_beta test completed. A restart does not clear the problem but a cold start does. I'm thinking LAIM ???? I've cleared the problem from all machines that ran the Beta test so I expect no reoccurance. I'll shut up about it now. wink

I'm not sure it's exactly the same error, but I got this on a Windows XP 32 bit machine at least once.
