Re: The Clean Energy Project, Phase 2: Welcome all!

Where you see intermittent? CEP1 is, CEP2 is full active.

I guess, he means the following line:

The other six active research projects are: Discover Dengue Drugs – Together – Phase 2.....

[/ot]DDDT2 is "active-intermittent" as explained somewhere and think it is only marked as intermittent on the statistics pages, so it's understood there is no constant stream. On the research drop down selector menu is grouped in active. Kind of 'understood' now by most who've been around for longer at WCG[/ot]

I think it would be better to correct the mistakes and give an example of how long the upload will actually take. You know, for those that do have the minimum bandwidth and might want to participate.

So, for those with a 1Mbps upload rate, the 50MB upload will take 6min 30sec + network overhead = about 8 min.

Re: The Clean Energy Project, Phase 2: Welcome all!

For the few looking out for a performance chart, I've for the moment parked it in place of the WCGCE1 chart. That was quicker... and no, the % in there is placeholder filler. I've no indication either how long it's going to take (well I do have the very big thumb version, but won't share until I've recovered the hurt locker kit ;P)

PLEASE DO NOT SPREAD THE LINK AS IT WILL EXPIRE AND THEN THE HOSTING SERVICE GETS FREE ADVERTISING OR THE WRONG CHART STARTS APPEARING IN PLACES!

(sorry for the capital print, but want to underline this!)

Et al,

Return times is for everyone different. What your ISP tells you have is not what you get, rarely and then it's a news circulation, not a detail reference manual. If anyone likes to make a global table and plot out the mean expectation s/he is more than welcome.

I just saw a revolutionary scientific paper with a impressive advance in the knowledge about materials which could be applied to solar cells.

It is a great promise to near future of researches in this fields. enjoy:

Re: The Clean Energy Project, Phase 2: Welcome all!

My netbook is on it 24/7 until my desktops can join in on the fun. This will be my priority project until it's done.

My reason being is that running Boinc uses a lot of power. It would be nice to run my computers 100% on bio-solar. This will help.

Send beta bio-solar panels to me when it's done =)

Re: The Clean Energy Project, Phase 2: Welcome all!

Put one of my Quads onto the project for a while using FatDog64. Will likely move a few more of my big systems over to support CEP2 come 17th July (or there abouts; the target for releasing the Windows version).

Re: The Clean Energy Project, Phase 2: Welcome all!

Ok, I can't wait tell the 17th for my Windows desktop to start helping. I'm Ubuntuing it up now.

The clean energy project is the reason I joined the grid. I believe the energy used on the project is an investment with an unlimited return.
