I myself am just less than two days from Sapphire HFCC, if only I could get my PC up to full capacity. I have now swapped CPUs with my parents' computer to see if it is the CPU that caused the trouble.

I have also tried with different RAM and the error persisted then. I am also running on "Clean Boot" as described by Microsoft so that no 3rd party startup programs or device drivers are run, just the bare system minimum. If it still crashes then it would be good to try a reinstall of Win7 (which is not that old btw) or it is the motherboard that is unstable. I mean it could be the PSU but i doubt it since it is a very high quality Seasonic 600W and my computer only needs around 200W (at the plug) so it has not been running close to maximum or anything.

In the world of computers there is always something to do... :)

Good morning team.

This morning I had a Runtime error on HFCC. There's just no rhyme or reason to this. This is the same irritating crap that made me want to pull the plug on the whole thing when I was running GRID. Can't be the machines though cause I don't have the same computers any more.

Update of Application Signing Key


World Community Grid has multiple levels of security that are used to protect the volunteers. One of these is the use of a secret application signing key that is used to digitally sign (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_signature) the research applications so that the client can verify that the applications were officially released by the World Community Grid. It is a standard practice to periodically update the keys used in this verification process. As a result we are updating our application signing keys.

Users do not need to take any action. The process should occur seamlessly. The next time your computer connects to World Community Grid it will download the new public key. The new public key has been signed with the previous key and your computer will verify that signature. Following that, your computer will download a new copy of the research applications that have been signed with the new private key and verify them. All of this will occur automatically without any user intervention required.

Oh now here's a new twist. This morning every wu on my main computer is showing computation error. I had to shut down the project completely and restart to get BOINC to communicate. This crap is getting old quick. I don't have time to log in to 47 computers every morning to see if the project is running.
