Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Bah! I give up on this round.

::Shakes Fist:: Dang you DDDT2 you may have beaten me this time, but in the end I will prevail!

I have only been able to pull 11 wu since this rain began. Oddly almost half of them are on my 2 Macs. I keep getting the dreaded:

Tasks are committed to other platforms

I'm not sure how many platforms are left because I am getting that message on my Win x64, Win x32, Mac, and Linux x64 machines. I hope someone is having fun splashing in the puddles.

Don't worry...for about a half hour now, I have been getting that message on both Windows and Linux machines.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

My most recent downloads were only up to dg05_c100, so there's a long way to go yet.
Update @ 16:06 GMT/UTC: dg05_c108 WUs just downloaded.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

The shower has not passed. My buckets are still catching an occassional drop. I just got a few in the last few minutes. I managed to catch 95 WUs for 8 cores from this shower biggrin and am still working on the remnants from the last sprinkle along with Malaria that I had picked up (a little too much) before the latest shower.

Oh what a good day to be off from work! Unfortunately I will be away from my computer for the next few days and won't be able to babysit any troubles. I'll just have to set the controls and hope that autopilot will run fine and keep the engines crunchin'.

Cheers coffee

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Seippel gave the batch series, so that's all we need to track... about 111K x 2 in tasks to run, and I've already processed 6 repairs [without any problem whatsoever, so not sure what some are doing with these "precious", I don't object them being send here].

--//--

edit: For completeness the dated quote
The overall error rate for the first/test batch was very low and the remaining dg05 type C work units have just been submitted to BOINC and should begin to be distributed in the next eight hours. There are 111,687 work units total (two copies of each will be sent out). The first batch is dg05_c_g03_c021_to_c030_typeC and the last batch is dg05_d_g50_d491_to_d499_typeC. Good luck!

Last receipt was a G12-C111 (he gave the numbers printed in the message log, not what shows in the Tasks view, so from there: 22-6-2012 20:02:15 Finished download of dg05_c_g12_c111_to_c120_typeC_dg05_c111_dg05_phi_18.dat.gzb]

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

My first 2 deliverables for this run are:

- A "server aborted" WU (which had failed 6 times before)
- A WU that ran for 0.51 hours and which is "Valid" biggrin

The other two WUs that are currently being crunched seem to be OK so far.

CJSL

Gotta crunch...

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

3234 World Community Grid 22-6-2012 16:22:43 This computer has finished a daily quota of 10 tasks

How is daily quota determined? I ask because while I got next to none in the past, I got 8 work units yesterday and 43 today, not counting two Clean Energy work units.. So my quota must be over 10. So far, I should be able to do all of them by the deadline.

I do not imagine the work unit dispatcher is trying to compensate me for the years of neglect. Is it?

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

It seems that this shower is over. I picked up around 150 WU's, some of which are still running. I guess I have to be happy to have received that many!
