Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

The highest subgroup in a group (c and d we're doing of dg05) is G50. Simplified, we're doing about 50,000 tasks per group in quorum 2, so 100,000 in G01 to 50, which works out as 1000 per Gxx. Still in simple mode, because these tasks do different things and have been classed in about 8 designators P and S, and that you find in a sticky post at top of the DDDT2 forum [where they are best placed, these key threads obviating asking],. https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,28528. Actually, there are about 222K tasks and the only thing relevant to follow is the batch designators to know how far progress is for c / d. Various posters will keep the community abreast (to stop those ''has it stopped raining already?" posts ;P)

Now, silence in the room... Spain leads France 1:0 silly

Both linux and windows machines (plus both 32 and 64 bit) are reporting that here, so apparently the hoppers are all waiting for Macs to fetch some work units.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

That was my thinking too :D

[ot]Meanwhile, 1 invalid + 1 error, the result logs clean [the message log clean too, no interruptions]. Identical to the 2 other copies, except it ran about 3/4 hour faster on my Linux quad. Then last night caught one that was seemingly cycling a checkpoint, not making progress beyond 27% at 4.5 hours. Did a LAIM off, suspend task, wait a minute, release, and resumed it's HP processing at 25%, then finished the 75% in 3.5 hours, to validate as normal [set LAIM on again].

biggrin Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

My last download was group d g03 , so we now have a bit less than 50% work available for distribuition. But buckets are almost full! Meaning several days work.

I think at least a red one for me, now already on silver, started from zero work on this rain.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

As of aprox 13:34 UTC (8:34 am CT) today Sunday, I received the following WU:

dg05_d_g02 _d011_to_d020_typeC_d016

So, according to me, a little over 50% of the DDDT2 WUs have already been sent out.

Gotta keep crunching...

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Is there a thread anywhere that discusses how the WCG servers allocate work to different systems? It's quite frustrating that my slowest system is able to queue up 3 days worth of work, while my fastest system ranges from 3% busy to a maximum of 3 hours worth of work queued, when they are both using the same profile.
