actually... I think, it's no bad thing if it stays dry here for a while... other projects need some more crunching as well... :P :)

If you go back to the top of the DDDT2 forum you can see that there are 22.1 million tasks to process. So far we've done 1 .3 million odd and those are mostly the 'ts' validations i.e. we've barely started. Frankly, would not be surprised if the ''erlc'' that ran at launch are rerun after all the testing and modding so as to get a homogeneous set of data for the 18 targets. For those that remember, the original A type and C type are different from those run after the revisions, where a good portion of the calculations were taken out of A and added to C type. At any rate 480 CPU years were spent on getting where we're now, so with 18 targets, 9-10 thousand CPU years might be what we need to work through. Even at ''normal'' share of 45 years daily, we'd be needing 4 months. With all the hands-on, make that 8 months minimum.
Anyway, 22 million+ results is the number to watch onthe Project Statistics page ... we're a very long way away, but it's fun to chase this badge... should turn ruby before Tuesday :P --//-- |

[ot] Sek, I see that, not only have you changed your handle, but the label which goes with your original handle has changed... Is this deliberate, or just a consequence of changing your handle?
----------------------------------------If it's the former, and you've decided (for whatever reason) to step down from the CA role, then let me be one of the first to formally thank you for all the time and effort you've put into that particular role. Many may not appreciate the time and effort you've put in over the years - but adding over 20,000 posts to this forum, shouldn't go unnoticed.[/ot] ![]() |

So I cannot believe right now that Sek stepped down from the CA role. Maybe someone (Sek?) brings some clarification soon. [/ot] |

I certainly hope we haven't lost Sekerob as our community advisor, but he certainly deserves a break if he wants one.
----------------------------------------I can't even express how much I've learned from Sekerob -- about WCG, about BOINC, about Ubuntu. Thank you!! ![]() |

So can Sek or someone else clarify for me... the T series that we're doing now, from ts01-ts05, is a test series? But this series still has real science going on? And then we start the 'real' series, possibly beginning (again) with erlc?
----------------------------------------I'm sorry, I feel like I knew this information at one time but I've gotten confused. ![]() |

breathesgelatin, as mentioned in this thread, the ts01..ts06 are quality control targets, which will ensure that the real targets (of which, I believe that there are 18), are all valid.
