Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 46smilesmile

I have a number of WUs that should validate and get points but it's not looking like that will happen before tonight's stats. Lots of folks are probably going to be in the same position. I'll starting to think I'll be surprised if the team points tonight is not zero. WCG as a whole will probably have very little.

Well, I am surprised. We somehow had 15 folks get WUs to validate today! WCG took a big hit but it will see a big surge tomorrow too.

Statistics Total Run Time Points Results
Date (y:d:h:m:s) Earned Returned
10/15/2010 6:349:21:19:06 6,035,599 10,347
10/14/2010 23:362:23:52:31 21,165,107 36,862
10/13/2010 283:146:12:51:40 266,057,690 553,781
10/12/2010 338:198:23:44:48 317,597,851 651,842
10/11/2010 338:088:11:05:44 318,659,962 646,740

It already has over six million points in just the first few minutes of the 15th.

Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 46smilesmile

Where is the CEP-2. Perhaps I need to consider Linux on my new system, perhaps?

Absolutely!!--Ubuntu and its free wink

CEP-2 is currently available only to Unix based systems. Linux is a derivation of that and Ubuntu is one of the later/st evolutions. I am not as big of a fan as is Dubby but I am running my new cruncher on it and processing CEP2 WUs on that. I also have a dual core machine that I am running Ubuntu (32bit) and CEP2 on as well. It seems to all work fairly well and is fairly user friendly. And as Dubby points out..You can't beat the price. smile

I lost a lot of crunch time today. My queues have all been set at 1/3 day. I think I will up that to 1 day just to reduce the possibility of missing this much work. I hate to have the queues too big in case the DDDT2 has a comeback... I lack but 7 days on going turquoise on that project.

Edit: smile Per your recent remark Keith, I might hit 200 tomorrow. straight face

Good Morning MOT--Some words of wisdom-- If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom — go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen! –Samuel Adams ---The Dye is cast: The People have passed the river and cutt away the bridge: last night three cargoes of tea were emptied into the Harbour. This is the grandest event which has ever yet happened since the controversy with Britain opened!

- John Adams, 1773
