Haven't succeeded in getting any yet. :-(
Two download failures. See below. The first one appeared on the task list but said "download failed" - then disappeared after a couple of minutes. The second one didn't even get that far. (I have been getting a lot of "page not found" errors on my web browsers (since installing a new WiFi enabled modem). The browsing errors are fixed by hitting refresh.) 10/11/2010 02:30:49|World Community Grid|Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. Ok. I have a first valid unit
----------------------------------------E200513_ 493_ A.25.C21H14N2S2.214.3.set1d06_ 1-- 635 Valid 09.11.10 18:58:42 10.11.10 09:40:19 7.80 196.7 / 103 And I have another 12 or so on PV. Here is one example: E200514_ 220_ A.25.C21H14N2S2.387.4.set1d06_ 0-- 635 Pending Validation 09.11.10 23:43:48 10.11.10 09:40:19 8.40 212.0 / 0.0 The average elapsed time is over 8 hours except for one that finished in 4 hours. With over 8 hours average it is the longest WU's runtime I ever had for standard project WU. I have the feeling that there are probably not enough WU's around. On the two test machines I am using even if I set up the project so that there is no limitations in terms of WU number, bandwith etc. I get yes more than one WU per machine but not a continous stream. I get WU's from all other projects which is a sign that there are not many available. I wonder if we will here too finish with the DDDT2 syndrom. It was a nightmare to get WU's when I finally gave up, but at least it is now an intermittent project which is fine (it took some arguments before we got there). Hope CEP2 will be different and this is just the warming up phase. ![]() ![]() |

Hypernova, you must have obviously missed it (which is quite understandable if you're not able to be scanning all of the forum all of the time). I do believe that the WCG techs are slowly ramping up this project so as to ensure that nothing untoward breaks (which includes Harvard's receiving server). I'm sure that, in time, there'll be plenty of WU's to go around (don't forget, at the moment, we're still in the initial Windows/Mac 'new project' scramble).

I had a bunch error out with the following message:
<core_client_version>6.10.58</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> WU download error: couldn't get input files: <file_xfer_error> <file_name>E200515_A.25.C20H14N2OSSi.50.1.zip</file_name> <error_code>-224</error_code> <error_message>file not found</error_message> </file_xfer_error> On the plus side, I've had 21 valid units completed at an average of 6 hours each, running 6 concurrently on a hyperthreaded Core i7 920 at 3.8 GHz. |

If you check the other thread out (Bad batch of wu ), it looks as though batch# E200515 had something wrong with it. People have downloaded later work, and that seems to now be okay
