Today we'll have our monthly phone-conference with the IBM-WCG team. Everything seems to be in best order these days.

Cool stats. Glad to see we are doing so well here. Have the 'mentions' in papers, programs, etc really helped to boost membership or has it been a fairly steady gain overall regardless of promos?
Also, I see we are at the 4000 year mark on computation, just for G and S.... about how many K years are left before we get near the 'end' of the numbers to crunch? Thanks again for keeping my CPU hot. My AC dislikes and my power company LOVE ya hehe. Aaron |

Dear Ascholten,
participation has been steady (with the usual daily fluctuations) over recent months. But we want to intensify our outreach and 'advertisement' efforts a bit now that the papers are out. All crunchers can help by telling their friends and families about our project. In our experience it is the biggest challenge to get over people's 'activation barrier' - once they try WCG and CEP they tend to get hooked. So we have to get new members just there. Best wishes from Your Harvard CEP team |

Johannes is attending the 2011 Congress of the World Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemists (WATOC) in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. And he'll naturally present our work in the Clean Energy Project

Roberto recently gave a presentation to 6th grade students at the Eton School in Mexico City to teach about the science of organic photovoltaics and solar cells in general. He also told the students there about the World Community Grid and the Clean Energy Project. This presentation was part of a year-long campaign by the students to raise awareness about the environment. In the end, they assembled this presentation, which was shown to the school principal to run the Clean Energy Project on the school's computers.
We really thank the students at Eton and their teacher, Maria Campa, for sharing with us this great presentation which you can check out here. http://cleanenergy.harvard.edu/index.php?ira=...debar&sidebar=science |

Johannes' poster presentation at WATOC went well and led to a number of interesting discussions. On our facebook log you can check out a few pictures from before the poster session and during one of the plenary lectures.

Alan gave a CEP presentation at the WATOC satellite meeting on ‘Excited states and non-adiabatic processes in complex systems‘ in Girona (Spain) instead of the excitonics talk he had originally planned
