Yes, isn't it funny that the immigrants to the USA often
chose areas where it looked like "home"? Maybe everything else was so scaringly unfamiliar that - in the case of a Finn - having a lake and some birch trees was a form of comfort. I looked up pictures from Saimaa. It is stunningly beautiful. To which temperature do the lakes heat up in the summer? And the sea water of the Finnish Bay? |

Lake temps are something around 22-24 C depending size and depth of the lake. Seawater i'm not sure, because never been swimming in a sea here. |

Our team is 16th in Moo!wrapper team rac. Nice.
Can we do better? Sure we can. We are getting over 3 mil. boinc points a day from Moo!wrapper and that would take us to top 10 :) Have gpus idling? Please add gpu project like moo!wrapper(amd),gpugrid(nvidia),Primegrid(nvidia) or milkyway@home(amd). Any questions feel free to email me: akiles@windowslive.com |

Linux x64. Ubuntu is good enough. Just need luck with drivers. I tried Ubuntu x64 laatest version and latest amd linux x64 drivers didn't work with Boincmanager. Didn't find any gpus. Issue is just finding working driver. Just need to instal and unistall and go one step older version untill boincmanager finds gpu. Takes some time, but it's free and fast :)

Some day when I have learnt to prioritise differently,
I would really like to try to run Linux. Hey, how about joining a team where the captain is from a country with its own OS. - there were one, there were two, there were three, there were four, there were five little bicyclists, there were six, there were seven, there were eight, there were nine, there were ten - inclusive of the big penguin Ti små cyklister |

Hej Kaptajn!
I think you have a new permanent member, LTDAkiles - and I can give any cruncher looking for a team my very best recommandations of this one and its captain - and if you like winter sports, it's the place to go - squeeky, clean snow for several months ![]() |
