Two of my windows machines have had this.

during the night I ran and completed both versions with no problems and no loss of wu's. W7 64bit inteli i7 960 hyperthreading all 8 cores boinc 6.10.58 12 gig mem large disk space...

Had a bunch of errors also for CEP on one machine. Only running CEP at the moment. Windows 7 32 bit. No special BOINC settings that I'm aware of (6.10.58). Cache has refilled and have some units in progress but none have completed yet. Just noticed that have completed and returned some DDDT units that are pending validation (because I have checked off send other work if none for CEP).

I just reset the max_results_day setting for users who likely experienced this issue. You should be able to force an update and rebuild your cache.
We apologize that this has impacted some users. We did not see this in the test cases we ran prior to performing this change. The client should have completed the old workunits with the old application versions without disruption (the client checks the signature when the application is downloaded). At this point the most critical thing that we need to know is if there is anyone who experienced this issue who is not able to start running the new 6.40 versions as they are downloaded. You should be able to use the 'update project' button to fetch new work. Please try this now if you were limited after the workunits crashed. Then please post if you experienced the issue and then let us know if A) You cannot run the 6.40 versions B) You are able to run the 6.40 versions correctly thanks - and we apologize for the issues. |

OK, increased the cache a bit and allowed work fetch again, receiving CEP2/HCMD2/C4CW all of version 6.40. Then started manually the HCMD2 and C4CW, suspending DDDT2 of v 6.15. No fuses going, nothing popping up asking for permission.
Client: 6.12.14 alpha OS: W7-32 SP1 CPU: Duo Centrino Mem: 2GB, 1.7 allowed during use. 60% commit. AV: Avast 5.1.889 with no-scan exception on the BOINC Data-Dir FW: None, just UAC and Windows Defender defaults, latter though with the same scan exception on the BDD --//-- PS, will test later on Linux. |

strange, I checked my results page and only had 1 error reported (CEP2 -- all wingman reported same error). I usually have my cache set between 1-2 days and are currently running mostly HFCC with some HCC, CEP2, HCMD2.

Must have gotten 5 repairs job from these errors. One of them completed (version 6.40) without any apparent issue and the second one is running.

Interesting is here the 6.15 and 6.40 results coming to make up a validated quorum... but then only the security key changed :D
