Re: Just lost my entire cache on 2 machines!

No one has mentioned Mac, so:

Lost 6 days' cache on Intel Mac connected to internet, BOINC 6.12.15.

Have received one new WU linked to 6.40, and this will apparently work out when time comes (first 30 seconds ran ok). As for now, Rosetta has got the upper hand for the next 6 days...

Oh well, I thought I had received my share with the Mac problems of BOINC 6.12.13 and .14 — this has been a busy BOINC month indeed.

Re: Just lost my entire cache on 2 machines!

Had one error on a computer running a DDDT2 WU. All other computers (running HFCC only) had no problems.

Re: Just lost my entire cache of DDDT2 on 2 machines!

One other machine (also a slow one) is still crunching on a long running HPF2 WU, and still has 1 HPF2, 1 HCC and 1 C4CW with old versions in cache. I will watch what happens when the current WU finishes. I expect that the cached units are then dumped and the cache refilled.

The behavior was the expected reg. the cached units. But the running WU errored after >24h of runtime crying

And another machine (not used very much) had a HCC WU in progress which was several days overdue. I aborted that WU and expected that the cached CMD2 unit (still old version) would fail immediately. But that did not happen. The CMD2 WU started fine and is now running some hours.
This machine is also running Boinc 6.10.58 on Windows XP 32-bit, not seeing any significant difference to the other machines.

Greetings
Thorsten

Re: Just lost my entire cache of DDDT2 on 2 machines!

While I only have had 1 system dump it's 2dy cache. I'm gettting a boatload of repair work now.

I think we've enough time left in this batch for this to be fixed.

Lost the entire cache and 33.41 hours of run time on one computer. Luckily, my other three computers weren't affected.

Shouldn't this be in Known issues instead? This wasn't a BOINC problem. It was a WCG problem.
