Its good to have a spare computer.
Even better to have more.

I have been running HCC only but it will end very soon.
HFCC is intermittent so I won't have a project of interest to run.

i feel like all science research is like blue bread mold... you never know when something that is not expected or wanted becomes penicillin

so i research all science projects

HCC is almost history as it shows 5 days of work units remaining.
It probably won't last that long as everyone loads up on work units, aka hoarding.
The end of HCC will give my graphics card and electric bill a break.
Probably will lower the temperature of the room too.

The Gateway PC is still down.
It has a new power supply and motherboard but refuses to power up.
Only the fans in the PSU run, no lights, no sounds, nothing.
Have disconnected everything and removed all PCI cards, nothing.
Checked the connectors and they look good.
Will have to try shorting the pins for the power button.

actually its going to be like every other ending there will be results trickleing in and out for 14 days or so after the last unit leaves

HCC validation is taking much longer than normal so there may be other network or server load problems.
Just plugging along; still have a PC down.

well i am still on 3 computers and it dosnt look like i will be geting the others back fora while but it still counts for 18 cores so i will be climbing the ladder still but i keep getting passed by lots of people

Got a guru crown before my ID in the SNURK signature.

It is my wife's computer that is down so I am trying to fix it for her--as time permits.
There is a part on order that is causing the delay.
If it turns out not to be worth saving I have picked an unlocked AMD 4.0 8-core combo at newegg as a replacement.
grumpygrampy would be happy to know that it has an ASUS motherboard.
