Re: Little Mermaid's "inflicting" thread

Well done that you keep painting. I know several construction people who keep working;
one has passed 80 and hates to take this break to have his second hip replaced ...
The territory they cover doesn't compare to yours, though. Are your customers repeat ones?
Will you winter in Virginia?

Do you remember we discussed having my condo painted? I have done it all by myself now.
The wooden ceilings are painted white with a wonderful sticky paint
that doesn't run down your arm, and the walls of all the rooms are a light shade of rose.
One would think it would be like living in a powder box, but it isn't.
Depending on the orientation - north/south - the color expresses itself differently.

It is courageous of you to agree to flirting.
It seems as if many men has been felled across the board in the USA as well as in Europe,
and it seems as if men are scared now.
Don't get me wrong, I don't condone any form of violent or intrusive actions, but a healthy, funny flirt
not crossing the limits of anyone should be an Olympic discipline. Or what?
We can play music here - better than talking in the music thread, right?

I know you would have, GeraldRube rose
Flirting with an ocean between us is pretty safe, so there will definitely be no #metoo cries from me.
Some of us old herons even look at flirting or a whistle from the scaffolding as a fringe benefit, you know blushing

Re: Little Mermaid's "inflicting" thread

money eyes It will save money in the long run, she unconflictedly claims.
Instant satisfaction ain’t necessarily the best solution in all cases.

Roping your music over here for an in depth analysis:
1. I’m not pretty in real life – just average for my age bracket - but if you make me pretty in your imagination, I'm all for it
2. I was walking down the street as I listened to your ’Pretty Woman’
3. I brought a sample for the doctor because I flunked my stix test blushing
4. I still have some sway in my hips when walking – believe it’s good for your joints - and Roy Orbison singing this song surprisingly made me sway a little bit more - dancelike - you know
5. The recording was different
– I like the interspersed cowboyish yells
from the one they played in Beautiful Worcester, Massachusetts, when I was displaying the Danish 'Ocean' Raingear which I tried to market against all odds up and down the coast
– especially the price being a tough odd –
at a boat show for 2½ days. I have had a certain allergy to that song ever since having been overfed with it some 431 times … the first 15 were OK. Was it the only music they had?
6. You could have unwittingly inflicted on me, GeraldRube, but it turned out that this allergy has passed.
7. Thank you for revealing this to me rose on to celebrate that by playing him again a few times

Re: Little Mermaid's "inflicting" thread

Did you and your parents live in Plantsville at the time, GeraldRube?
In my parents' generation is was not uncommon at all to 'ship' out the children to farms at a fairly young age, boys in the fields and tending to the animals, the girls cooking and doing housework. 12 years would probably be the lower limit. They were usually hired for ½ year and the payment often included a pair of clogs.
Bicycles shock The USA is not really a bicycle country, but maybe it's getting there.
I was scared to death when I saw how the number of bicyclists in New York City had mushroomed! But to be honest: they were very skilled .
I brought my bicycle to Rhode Island in 1985. Big mistake. Bicycles were for sports and you dressed the proper sporty way. They were not for everyday transportation. It was a little dangerous riding to the market, because the cars didn't expect this element in the traffic.
A horse would have been less surprising.
But on the other hand it saves on the CO2 emissions
and improves the air quality.

Re: Little Mermaid's "inflicting" thread

Yes we lived there until 1958.I had a stepfather from hell and my mom finally left his ass.My older brother was in the Army at Fort Eustis Va near Williamsburg and we ended up there.I would stay at my Uncle's house in the Summer and work on the farm. The had to drag me back home when school started.
