I wonder where other people post messages from. From a room in their house, yes. A computer room at school, sure. A library? Maybe. From an Emergency Room, not likely. ;)

And on the 8th day, someone created Automatic Windows Updates which this follower forgot to turn off. So in the morning I had to log back into my computer and restart wcg. So I probably lost a few hours..

And on the 8th day, someone created Automatic Windows Updates which this follower forgot to turn off. So in the morning I had to log back into my computer and restart wcg. So I probably lost a few hours.. Dr. Mike Mike, bring up Window Updates and set it to download updates and notify you. Then you'll get an icon in the system tray that you can click on to install them on YOUR schedule. Invariably, they require a reboot which leaves the machine waiting for my Windows "password". This way, they don't install automatically and I can install them at the end of the day, do the reboot, use the event to also do a little maintenance and then leave everything running as it should. |
