Re: TEAM Vulture Central III

Hi Evo.........

In the udmon folder there is a WCG batch file.
You need to run that to get WCG and UD mon to play nice.

Re: TEAM Vulture Central III

Hi again and thanks for all the welcomes!! It is so good to be appreciated.

Top Man Vaio - knew it would be something I missed. The UDMonitor Home page mentions the procedure for Folding@Home but doesn't mention the same setup required for WCG, any chance it could be added to make it easier for other new WCG members. Missed out on about 12 hours work trying to sort it myself.

SIGBOX to sort next - watch this space retsofwink

Now we are all sorted Team Vulture Central lll will be dancing up the charts. Have a good day everybody.

Re: TEAM Vulture Central III

I am not doing anything strange myself, and just process one DC project on each computer available. The WCG install just backed out the other, and I ran the WCG bat when starting up UDMonitor. It's working fine for me.

For these multi-DC project questions, here's an idea. Go here and sign up for the forum
http://stats.free-dc.org

Send Bok a message somewhere in the lobby that seems appropriate and ask about this kind of stuff. He processes data for 22 different DC projects currently, and his SIG has stats for ALL projects he's working on....a very large box (My SIG over there has 2 Boerni stat boxes, 1 for each)

Re: TEAM Vulture Central III

I originally used the copy of UDMon I used on Grid.org WU's and it accepted the work units coming in but would not open and close WCG agent itself. Thinking it was UDMon at fault I re-installed it (fortunately having kept the installer dl I originally downloaded) but this had the same result. crying
It probably got gunked up. I know you can't mix and match DC project slots with the same UDMonitor. grid.org and WCG can't coexist.

Mine is in a separate UDMon directory. The slots are installed by UDMon as subdirectories in my WCG directory.

Two computers running WCG each have a WCG bat version of UDMonitor.

Another computer has grid.org without UDMonitor.

My wife got an AMD64 3400+, and it's returning about 5-8 results per day.
A Pentium IV/1.7 is sending in about 3-5 per day.

After installing WCG software and before running it I downloaded a fresh copy of UDMon and installed it, in the same directory as WCG Agent(C:\program Files\WCG) setting it up to use cache with 3 slots.
I'm not sure you would want to run the UDMonitor program in the WCG directory. It might try to swap itself out when it brings in another slot. Is that what's happening?

Re: TEAM Vulture Central III

Thanks, J.C.

As small as that number is compared to the Vaio-beast, 34 is the 4th highest results ever for this team. (In addition to a couple of 38, 41 were turned in while looking for the rodent on Groundhog Day.) When EvoDude gets fired up, we should show some more.

retsov, if ever Teams had a reason to fear, it would be to see your whole Team here. cool
You wish. cool Fortunately for the rest of you, many are inactive and left years and years ago. WildWilber was one recent migration, and is crunching for JTS 2 now.
