Re: TEAM Vulture Central III

Wow! some amazing stuff there. Since a king vulture is a NEW world vulture, maybe it *IS* a second generation vulture.

Yes, there's less clashing in the center of the banner.

You may be the person to make the white in the little red vulture logo transparent and plop it in the middle of the St. Andrews saltire banner. Size looks good. It probably wouldn't even have to be shrunk. The banner should stay at 550x70. Boerni's box is a little higher than the normal 550x60 we had for St. George. Send it as-is for Boerni's background pick-list. I'll then reduce the contrast and increase the brightness for a background. I think I got St. George just right.

I'm on a different computer at the moment. Win2000 and WinXP have rollover problems on the Signature change buttons. I have to change the sig on a Win98 machine for some reason. I posted your graphics in the first message, and recognized the illustration. Not that many want to do vulture drawings.

Re: TEAM Vulture Central III

This must be the Scots-Irish version. "100" green is pretty decent.
"150" was a bit too light, and anything lighter than that was unacceptable.

Once you have the file, you can even change the R,G,B numbers manually without going through another regeneration.
This is "150" red.
Dark red or black is better until we can do another flag change.

"255" bright red for comparison

"150", dark blue, better than I thought it would be

"100" dark yellow

"100" dark cyan

"150" magenta

The plain St. Andrews is in Boerni's stat generator NOW for use. Try it.
It shows dark blue for picking, and has the lighter blue version in the actual stat box. Red looks good for users and teams.

To have a color available in the file, change the rgb number to something other than 0,0,0
sero.cwsurf.de

Theres one each for Background(if plain selected) Lines User Team Stats Bottom Text

Read your history books retsof - they never ran things here, They had to build a massive wall to keep us out 'cos they couldn't beat us. C'mon the Picts!!
Oh yeah. That meddling Hadrian again.

individual version with stars (can't use stars in member/team combo box) My sig has separate auto-stars.

Boerni will have a new, even better version in 2-3 weeks. You can send up backgrounds on the fly.

As you can see I have adopted the one in Borne's stat image generator. I think the blue is pretty good - could be darker but this would clash with stats text. The vulture looks good sitting in his new home and if that could be added to Borne's saltire I would be ecstatically happy. drooling Maybe even buy you a pint - but only maybe, we have a reputation to maintain after all. blushing
Look forward to developments.

PS retsof, no dig about whilst in storybook thread - very surprised!!

I have another file, which changed red and blue to an even lighter pastel. It's what I had in mind for the stats background and allows for more user overlay. When I post them, I'll comment to Graham here.

Whilst what? Did I say anything? Dictionary.com says chiefly British.

I wanted to say something like "whilst whiling away the hours while I whittled white wood" but it would be tough to keep up that storyline with others adding to it.

Shame not everybody has our sense of humo(u)r. Perhaps we should start our own story book thread allowing entry of multiple alliterations. wink

Re: TEAM Vulture Central III

Graham: I slightly misspoke. I was concerned about the white box around the vulture, and you already got that one. Interestingly, one of the transparency modifications was a bit jagged in the cross lines, and one modification was a bit fuzzy. It's probably a matter of how the pixels interact.
The original is the best application of what I was thinking.

original 550x70 george2a.gif

Next, the saturation was reduced and brightness increased to make both red and blue pastel

If you have anything that's 550x70 for your team or others, I'm sure Boerni would be happy to add it/them. Many in grid.org are using his statbox, and he already has this WCG option and find-a-drug option.

He runs statistics here 4 times a day after the standard run, and the boxes and stars for points are automatically updated.

Re: TEAM Vulture Central III

Hello EvoDude,
Shame not everybody has our sense of humo(u)r. Perhaps we should start our own story book thread allowing entry of multiple alliterations.

How would you like to start 'EvoDude's First Sentence Story Book'? Set the rules so that each person has to enter an entire sentence. Then you could be as alliterative as you want.

Hi all,
A stat you may have missed is that, with 35 results, we scored a 6-month high for daily results yesterday. From what I can see this is the second highest daily return since team was formed, only beaten on 02/02/2005 with 41 results.

Good work team and lets see if we can keep it going up. I'm proud to be a member.
