High protein diet and cancer : As dangerous as smoking !

"Follow a diet rich in animal protein, the aged, between 50 and 65, a risk comparable to smoking a pack a day cancer, this study concludes substance of the University of Southern California (USC). However, after 65 years, it can increase its animal protein intake. These findings, published in the journal Cell Metabolism, also validated the mouse, provide more favorable to health and longevity lines consumption."

BREAST CANCER : Bisphenol A boosts tumor growth

"This is a further step in understanding the mechanisms and induced effects of bisphenol A (BPA) on the risk of breast cancer, which has been crossed with the study of biochemists from the University of Texas (UT) . Mediated mechanism HotAir (HOX antisense intergenic RNA), a non-coding gene but, overexpressed, inhibits other genes that slow tumor growth or cause the death of cancer cells. These findings, published in the Journal of Steroid Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, help explain wider adverse effects of endocrine disruptors."

Bisphenol A causes cancer of the prostate ?

"Bisphenol A (BPA) does not stop talking to him. In a new study, researchers recently demonstrated what was already suspected in animals: BPA contributes to the development of prostate cancer. This endocrine disruptor cause damage at the cellular level associated with tumor formation."

Re: Interesting News Articles About Cancer

CANCER : Cancer cells are well aware that they will

"Biologists have long thought that cancer cells travel through the body in a "drunken and aimless" works, but this random walk is probably observed in the laboratory, but it is not that followed through the body. This is demonstrated by the Johns Hopkins researchers who recount for the first time the ways of spread of cancer. Their work, reported in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, will allow the scientific community to better understand how cancer is running through the body."

CANCER : They explode cancer cells by vacuolation

"This new therapeutic approach proposed and tested by researchers at Karolinska Institutet is to... explode cancer cells through a substance called Vacquinol-1. Experience, presented in the journal Cell and conducted on mice model of glioblastoma, the most aggressive type of brain tumor, shows that tumor progression is reversed and prolonged survival."

Cancer treatment revolution potential with new drug

Date: March 25, 2014
Source: University of Warwick
Summary:
A revolution in cancer treatment could soon be underway following a breakthrough that may lead to a dramatic improvement in cancer survival rates. Commenting on the breakthrough, a study co-author said "The energy-producing machinery in cancer cells works to the limit as it attempts to keep up with quick proliferation and invasion. This makes cancer cells susceptible to minor changes in the cell 'power-house'. Our drug pushes cancer cells over the limit causing them to slow and shut down, whilst normal cells can cope with its effects."

KIF15, an acrobatic protein opens the way to new therapies

"While many anticancer target microtubule-molecular wires that form the mitotic spindle needed for good distribution of chromosomes in the cells during their division-, these researchers show Warwick Medical School, for the first time how a motor protein , Kif15 demonstrated acrobatic flexibility to navigate the mitotic spindle and how, coming to the rescue of other motor proteins, it can promote the growth of tumor cells. Decrypt this surprising mechanism could allow the development of targeted jointly on these motor proteins therapies."
