We are currently running a beta that addresses some of the invalids being seen in produciton but not all. We are able to reproduce the issue locally which is causing the remaining invalids so there will hopefully be another beta later this week with that fix. Took a look today and see 3 PVer in my queues. 2 of them are MCM1 beta WUs and the other is FAAH WU. So I guess my PVer situation isn't much of a problem at the moment. The beta MCM1 PVers are being worked on beta runs by the tech team.

Thanks for that. Think the coders have their work cut out... a large cross-correlation analysis on the work we have computed so far... tasks running through smooth, no hick-ups. OC? Got over 550 done, yet no such restart-less invalids for me, W8-64, W7-64, Linux-64, W7-32, all Intel stock speed. I apologize for the delay in responding, but I was running an experiment on that machine, which is a quad core (Q6600 overclocked to 3200MHz). The experiment was to run MCM1 on 4 cores and check for invalids and then run MCM1 on 3 cores, another project on 1 core and check for invalids. When running MCM1 on 4 cores, the invalid count can be anywhere from two to eight per day. When only on 3 cores, they are zero invalids. Ran a GARLI on one core for 4 days with zero invalid MCM1 tasks. Next day ran 4 cores MCM1 and had 7 invalids, followed by 2 days of MCM1 on 3 cores and another GARLI with zero invalids and no PVer. Could be the overclock makes it unstable for 4 MCM1, but not 3. I'll keep testing going back and forth from 3 to 4 to 3 and see what the results are. |

There still seem to be lots of folks who are not aware of the problem and still producing results with lots of re-starts in them, I have a page full of PVers where these have now been sent to a third user, which should result in validation for me and invalid for the poor guy who caused it!

So when the tasks go invalid, do we get points and/or time credit to our stats?

AFAIK from my own invalids, you get half points and full time credits
