Re: Mapping Cancer Markers Beta Test - Version 7.29 [ Issues Thread ]

For the 2 beta testing machines, the workunits "Beta_Beta" would drop down to the .5% completion rate, and then normalize after a few minutes to where they left off. The units "Beta_A_MCM1" did not exhibit the temporary progress drop off and picked up where they left off. Complete restart performed.

Saw the same behavior on my Win7 system. BETA_A_MCM1 went right back to 63%. Three other BETA_BETA_99999xx WUs went to .5% and jumped to their previous values in a few seconds.

All 4 of mine, appeared to behave as I'd expect them to after a) a reboot, and b) shutting down BOINC.

Suspended a few with LAIM off on windows 8.1 BOINC version 7.0.64.
So far one went fine, reverted back to the checkpoint (at the correct percent for that time) and then after about a minute progress continued. The other went back to .5% and then bumped back up to the correct % like others are reporting

This machine does v7.28 just fine.

Thank you for rewarding so much credit for a bit of downloading and a few seconds of interrupting the regular program. Sadly does not count for anything.

Similar issue here:
<core_client_version>7.2.39</core_client_version>
<![CDATA[

app_version download error: couldn't get input files:

<file_name>wcgrid_beta17_7.29_windows_intelx86</file_name>
<error_code>-120 (RSA key check failed for file)</error_code>
<error_message>signature verification failed</error_message>
</file_xfer_error>

I don't think it's an application error, just a hick-up from the server.
After that error I got 3 other BETA's running without problems.
