Mamajuana, BOINC credits are multiplied by 7 to become WCG points. That's all. smile
Yep, but both examples were taken from the WCG Web site, one from the stats page, the other from the results page!

Nothing to do with the Boinc display of the points or the factor of 7...

I have 4 WU which I restarted but my wingman did not, for which the results still match. So it's not consistently causing mismatches. I'm running BOINC 7.2.39 on Xubuntu Linux.

Yep, twice, my point has been missed. The example I quoted was from the WCG web site as I said above, thus no factor of 7, because the example does not come from the Boinc client, or one of the many web sites that provide very useful stats.

But my stats pages on WCG the web site.

I came to the conclusion that something looks wrong, if I return 1 result that shows xx number of points on the results page and yy number of points on the stats page on the same web site there must be something wrong...

Firstly my apologies...

I've gone away and thought about this issue, reread the posted replies and yes I'm correct there is a discrepency. However, as the replies point out it was my mis-understanding of the two pages that lead to the issue.

As I said, my apologies!

Now, on to the issue - Why do the two pages display different values? We have ascertained what they display, one the WCG points and the equivilant value in Boinc on the other one. But why on the WCG site is this the case?

Not until you look at my stats page:

The '92 ' is points generated from the stats page, but is actually 'elapsed time' from the detail of the wu! Points generated is only 13.2
This could also explain the 'Strange points claimed/granted issues too...

Nothing wrong. The Results Status page shows BOINC credit, whereas the Device Statistics shows WCG Points. It was pure coincidence that your elasped time of 0.92 happened to be similar to the WCG points of 92 (13.2 BOINC credits x 7 = 92.4 WCG Points).

So Boinc returns the result with xx points, but the WCG system awards 7 x that many
