I don't see why folks don't just fill their queue with other work for a day or so in order to ensure a good day of backlog, then change their preference to say 3 or 4 days for OET, and likely in under 24 hours they should catch a nice backlog of OET WUs to crunch on for several days. Then repeat, repeat, repeat Because a lot of folks, like me, might just simply run their crunching machines in a "fire and forget" mode, with little or no (intention to) actively meddling with the settings all the time, maybe?   |

...and obviously it hasn't worked for cjslman, as shown by the missing badge Some things you need to know :1) I only implemented this "babysitting" procedure a couple of days ago 2) I don't have the massive CPU power that you have... it takes me a little longer to get badges (I currently only have a little over 2 days of valid OET WUs... I still have a ways to go for a badge) 3) It did work because I got over 40 OET WUs in the last two days (just got another 24 WUs today). I can even tell you at what time they become available. I don't know why it's not working for you. In these type of projects (and there have been a few projects similar to this one), extreme patience is needed. Don't know what else to suggest. I have 9 cores on this project and got 3 !!! wu's so far... i don't understand why they ask us to find new volunteers... lol

I have my minimum and maximum set at 0.01 so it fetches as soon one is completed. Zero, zippo, nada. You folks who get these wu's must hit the update button every minute. I just want bronze then go back getting my goal on other projects. Have 10 days now.

I have 3 days now, and no oet currently running. More work units will come when they come.
There are ways as explained by others how to get a steady supply. Me, I choose not to micromanage/babysit. It goes slower, but it works also. The endgoal here is still sapphire so I also wait for the opening of the flood gates. Patiently, though, and working on other projects in the meantime. |

I just want bronze then go back getting my goal on other projects. Have 10 days now. 0.01/0.01 was my default too and I was averaging 1 OET WU per day, about 1% of my crunching! As per my earlier post I have now changed these upwards. I have the 'default' profile set just for OET and my 'home' profile set for OET and UGM. If the device looks like it's going to run out of work, I switch it to the 'home' profile, when it is not going to run out of work I switch it back to the 'default' profile. There's no clicking of 'Update' involved and I now have a lot more OET coming through. I got 4 x my total WUs to date overnight so at the moment for the first time I'm crunching more OET than UGM, I'm up to 3 days and a bronze badge is on the horizon     |
