Yes, 8 are running in Boinc. I figured it was the stats. This board is awesome. So much power and functionality for $100.

Re: Best bang-for-the-buck Android device

In the USA, Family Dollar has the Optimus Fuel currently advertised for $9. So, YMMV on whether they have any in stock. These are dual core phones.

I honestly don't know if creating a thread focused on cheap deals for Android devices is against the rules or not. One could interpret it as spam. However, I would think it would be a good topic for others to partake in to help donors out. As long as it was kept to retail links and not personal sales...

I stopped at several Family Dollars and couldn't find an Optimus Fuel. I found one at Sears, but they wouldn't price match Family Dollar. BestBuy also had one and did price match so I got one for $9. I started it on one core to see how it does.

Re: Best bang-for-the-buck Android device

The Boinc program can also be administered from the Boinc installation on my desktop PC.

MyLittleBoinc, can you explain how you do this? I thought to do this you have to edit the remote_hosts.cfg file and I've yet to figure out how to do that on Boinc for Android.

Thanks,
Chris

Re: Best bang-for-the-buck Android device

BFA does not allow remote managing, nor the reverse, remote managing BfA. But there's tools such as TeamViewer. I've been successfully remoting with that [Free] version. Unfortunately, NativeBOINC does not work on Lolllipop and up, else that would have been the non-plus-ultra replacement client to go for.

Editing on Android in the BONC datadir is anyway reserved for those rooting the device, which I've so far foregone.
