AFAIK that url has ZERO to do with WCG. Then there's that semicolon in the address which should be a colon [if it had anything at all to do with WCG]. Trying in the webbrowser http://findah.ucd.ie/ goes to Find@home, which definitely has nothing to do with WCG.

I solved the problem.
Given that many people (inclusing ,yself) have been having problems -- especially after an infrastructure upgrade -- and no clear acknowledgement of a problem, I made a simple decision. I deleted the two stuck work units and have set the project to not get new units. I'll check back in a month or two to see if this project can get its act together. In the meantime, my donation of resources are going to functional projects. Continuing to send people down ratholes looking for problems on their end is a clear indication of the caliber of operational methodology in place. If this were one user having a problem, that's one thing, but it's clear there is a pattern of a back-end fault. Stop deflecting, acknowledge there's a pattern and problem and stop blaming the users' client configs. |

 no new WUs on one Win10 machine...Reset project didn't help! got a problem with error downloading science images - yes those jpg, png, etc.! so, uninstall -> reset -> delete of BOINCdata dir -> install...still same issue, got the science program files, just NONE science to crunch...still having problems with image files! when will techs get up to it?! I have some problems to understand why some people are so aggressive.
----------------------------------------Since 9 years I contribute to WCG. During the last days, because of OET1 short WUs, I experienced peaks up to 4'000 WUs per day. Everything ran well. By reading troubleshooting posts, my feeling is that running multiple projects beside WCG can cause some troubles. In this case, I would not suspect WCG at first but maybe the other projects. Frankly, I cannot really understand why always the same people seem to experience problems although the other members do not. Perhaps, the other possible cause could be Windows >7. Currently, I do operate one Win 7 Pro x64 host, and several Ubuntu 14.04, respectively Linux Mint 17, hosts without experiencing particular problems. I can understand that some members can be frustrated, nevertheless there is no reason to be rude with WCG technical staff, especially if the guys did not make mistakes. Cheers, Yves |

A couple of quick comments:
This thread is discussing issues of the form:
If there are other issues being reported here, lets start a new thread to keep it focused. This thread was started about 24 hours before I did the IBM HTTP Server upgrade. As a result, this issue is unlikely to be related. We are investigating the issue. Based on monitoring scheduler requests for a period of time it looks like about 0.4% of scheduler requests are terminating this way. We have been able to capture some of the scheduler requests (a debugging feature of BOINC) that end this way and we are able to see that the scheduler crashes (Segmentation fault) during the request. We are attempting to debug what is causing it to crash at that point. Uplinger is leading the investigation and will report when he has more news. |

well, a QUICK FIX of the problem...until WCG sorts it out:
----------------------------------------1. exit BOINC 2. copy all GIF & PCG files from other <BOINC data dir>\projects\WCG 3. paste into same dir 4. start BOINC it will download the science & WUs...though it will continue to download those GIF & PCG...annoying probably techs & BOINC server - but it will crunch & stay active! did that few h back, everything works OK for now! |

What are PCG files and what does "few h back.." mean? Just a guess, but PCG was probably a typo, instead should be PNG. And "few h back" might mean few hours back. |

Same problems. No new tasks. I have the latest client for Linux Mint. I have removed and restarted the WCG program a few times and each time one task appears and then no more. I have a quad core processor and should have 4 tasks running.
