Re: Suddenly 91% complete

Zika doubled in output when OET went dry and it's ECD has gone from 2021 this September to end of 2019 as of today. If the researchers don't add more WUs there, then that project will be ending in 6 months.

Re: Suddenly 91% complete

It looks like FAHB will get more work, but there might be an intermittent period until it's available. And there's for sure a new project in the kitchen (climate), it might launch relatively soon.

Re: Suddenly 91% complete

I wouldn't be surprised if we see all three climate projects hit beta in quick succession in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully then soon after into production. Just making an uninformed guess here that the techs are focusing on launching the climate projects and then will wrap back around to packaging batches for the existing projects.

There is also a somewhat substantial increase in computing power on WCG now (compare the past several months to the same one year ago) that is contributing to the projects moving along more quickly. A good problem to have.

Today 100%.
Is the project ended?

Re: Suddenly 91% complete

No, not ending, work continues to flow but it looks like new work is not loaded yet as the timeline, like you stated, is at 100%.

To quote a tech in early December:
Hello,

The project is absolutely not finishing in two weeks, or any time soon.

The project bar completion rates bounce around if researchers run through one set of work units before sending us the next set(s). These researchers are definitely sending us more.

On a more general note, now that OET is complete on WCG, none of the other projects are slated to end soon, either. Please take the project completion bars with a grain of salt.

Thanks,
Caiti

And again a week ago:
We had a call with the SCC researchers this evening.

The team recently met in person in Hong Kong to discuss the project. (Since they're located in three different countries, this is a very rare meeting!) They discussed the project work flow as well as plans for the future. Once their plans are finalized, we'll start making announcements.
They are building new work units which should last into January. At that time, they'll start running new work units simulating different targets.

Edit: Forgot a few words :P

Re: Suddenly 91% complete

Greetings,

The percent complete on our site is just an estimate. We get the total batch counts from the researchers. However, I was not on the call and do not know the updated batch count coming with the new workunits. When we have that value, we will update the estimate. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Re: Suddenly 91% complete

Looks like SCC has went down from 100% to 1%. Plenty of work left it seems.

Re: Suddenly 91% complete

Good catch!

Nothing coming through here yet, either on Linux or Windoze. Let's hope the techs tell us what's going on!
