Re: Is anybody still getting work?

I've just released a further half dozen or so WU's. My PV's are slowly turning to valid and I'm inching closer to 20 years.Hopefully by tonight's stats run a few more will have validated and I'll be confident enough to release the last few I've got in reserve.

I'm not sure the 3/33 applies anymore,

I have been using 17/47 for a long time now. I forgot who noticed the change and posted the new times. It was not me; NixChix deserves the credit. See this thread:
Thread: Using Scheduled boinccmd to get HSTB Work

I noticed the change to 17/47 and 19/49 and posted in that thread a year or so ago. A bit earlier also works, such as 16.5/46.5 past the hour. There's also occassionally re-sends (_2 work units) available at about 21.5 and 51.5 past the hour.

Re: Is anybody still getting work?

I see that they have removed the end date from the overview but still showing 100% completed. Does this mean it is carrying on but they don't know how long it will last.

I will suspend HSTB, once I get my 5 years, until they indicate there will be sufficient work to go for 10 years.

Re: Is anybody still getting work?

Ok, that's me out. Last reserve WU's handed back. Still 3 days short of 20 years just now, but the few units still in PV should be enough. Good luck to everyone else in achieving your goals. smile

Re: Is anybody still getting work?

Well done, Widdershins! I still have about 50 units to crunch before I make 5 years with my 8 threads. You must have more than that. At the moment I have about 13 MS WUs spare and will release them 1 at a time as I get within 13 just in case of failures.

Re: Is anybody still getting work?

Yea, when I drag the old codgers out of retirement for a big push I can scrape up about 60 threads. Old machines can be handy though, they can chew on HSTB WU's for many, many, hours so don't need to catch very many to keep running. wink

My production will drop off now though as some hardware will go back into retirement, and the others will go part time over the summer to avoid putting too much heat into the house.

If I'm very lucky I might wake up tomorrow to 20 years on HSTB since some more validated today. Currently sitting at 19:362:02:25:46 praying

That's a lot of heat. My 1 machine has been enough to heat my room over the winter, but you are further North!
