about 80% of everything I'm downloading this morning has a 3 day deadline. About half of that is from the accelerated batches. OK with me. Keep sending them as I still have about 100 empty slots I can put them in.

The app_config from Crystal Pellet limits the number of ARP1 units that can crunch at any one time.
If you set a limit in your Profile, that restricts the number of units that you can hold at any one time. I set app_config to half my threads for ARP1 and profile to twice that. It keeps a good reserve and avoids overloading my machine. Mike That was my understanding but it seems to limit downloads also regardless of what was set in the WCG profile. My profile is set to unlimited. Those settings are maxima. BOINC also restricts when it thinks you won't finish them in time and WCG can also restrict. Mike |

about 80% of everything I'm downloading this morning has a 3 day deadline. About half of that is from the accelerated batches. OK with me. Keep sending them as I still have about 100 empty slots I can put them in. 6 days are for "normals", 3 days are for "normal resends" or for "accelerated" and 1.5 days for resent "accelerated" or for "extremes". Resends have a suffix of 2 or more. Unit classification is generation specific and can be obtained from my "Sunday Report" above. Mike |

Sunday Report
----------------------------------------In the last 7 days, there have been 12,735 units validated. That is 1,819.3 per day. There are still 3 ultras in generations 21 &22. The other classifications have all moved on by 1 generation. There are now 4001 extremes in generations 103 to 131. The increase of 1,317 being due to the movement of the classification. There are now 2,388 accelerated units in generations 132 to 136 and 29,217 normal units in generations 137 to 146. The highest generation to have had validations is 145. Based on the 2 weeks, we would complete ARP1 in 2027. Over the next few weeks I will average the weekly validations until there are 5 full weeks to average and will then use a rolling 5 week average. Upload/download seemed to have been improving but we have had a setback over the weekend. Mike [Edit 1 times, last edit by Mike.Gibson at Nov 18, 2024 12:36:06 AM] |

As always, thanks Mike Gibson for keeping abreast of 'where we are' with ARP.

Thanks Mike for the update - hope we can keep improving the time when ARP would be completed.

The forecast end date would be December 2027 based on the 2 weeks since restart but April 2027 based on last week alone. I will be using a rolling 5 week average going forward to allow for fluctuations.
The 3 ultras in generations 21 & 22 would have 29 months (about 880 days) to complete 162 generations to make that April 2027 date. That would need an average of 5.4 days per generation starting from now - not impossible but the later they restart the less time they will have. Currently, half that time is needed for downloading and uploading alone. Mike |

On checking this morning, my event log is telling me no work available. last 3 tasks and 12 uploads are slowly ending their way to Krembil.

WCG has paused new work. Some resends are still going out.
