And how did you enter those passwords? Just clear text in the the file?

Flowdelic says "This behavior is not sensible, because in that case no client would be allowed to connect eventually." Not really. With the command line option --allow_remote_gui_rpc it ignores remote_hosts.cfg. Says so in the docs. Too many fingers in the pie. They seem mixed up.
