There's been a call for expansion of the membership in WCG. It is embarrassing when making a presentation that the home screen loads so slowly. Could the resolution of the pictures be decreased.

I detached and reattached a device, It has been a week and the device shows up in the results but doesn't show anywhere else.
----------------------------------------This has been an issue for a long time. "new devices missing from the Devices and My Contribution sections of the website" is listed in the first post. When will this be fixed?  |

It appears that the server is having problems as i have about 100 downloads stuck on various machines.

I had intermittent download issues too the whole morning and this afternoon. Only option left is as suggested by WCG tech by doing network retry periodically as appearing in the first post of this thread. Best to use script.
----------------------------------------HTTP errors causing download issues (In progress) With multiple updates made by our cloud provider to the network node in the data centre, we have successfully mitigated the worst of this issue. However, during peak loads users may still be affected. The “Retry Now” button in the Transfers tab of the BOINC Manager is the workaround to stalled downloads. No problems at all here. Up and downloading running absolutely normally but I must say that ATM I am only running OPN WUs.

No problems at all here. Up and downloading running absolutely normally but I must say that ATM I am only running OPN WUs. Well, the download problem has disappeared over night, but then not really any new ARP1 and OPNG WUs seemed to be send out. But only WCG knows what happens and they still aren't talking... Ralf  |

System Update Requested:
1) status updates more frequently please! 2) ARP1 - famine has resumed. If WU's are released in more limited quantities rather than seemingly in free-for-all fashion would that successfully reduce/eliminate the http errors? 3) OPNG - they're shut off too? Could limited quantity releases work here as well? Or is that issue a side ":benefit": of the ARP1 http errors? |

For instance, we just got out of "Alpha" this week... which is to say that HSTB is still intermitent (idc what the site says, it is NOT active), ARP and OPNG are still a wild goose chase (you either get lucky to request tasks or you don't get any of them), HTTP errors are still running lose, no new projects... nothing's changed despite the "update" 2 - Quite the opposite, in fact. From a server perspective, they'd rather have one single user queue 100 tasks downloading 2 files at a time rather than 100 users getting 1 tasks assigned each and downloading 200 files at the same time. If we weren't limited on download speed, sure, splitting them equally would be nice from the users perspective. But that's not the case. 3 - Same as above. Side note, I regret coming back, WCG has been more stress than anything else. Once I finish with my badge fixing, I'm outta here until they get their stuff together.
