sad Re: Comprehensive Issue List & Report Thread (Aug. 9, 2022)

Are there still issues with adding and replacing a device? I replaced a computer (new computer with a clean install for windows but same name) and added a new computer (clean windows install). My results list shows jobs from each new machine, but the devices do not show up on the devices page. I also don't think that the results are being added to the summary page.

The last update to the first message in this thread is in February, so I don't really know the status.

Is this a know bug, or have I done something wrong?

Yes, that is a known, long time problem, for which WCG apparently doesn't find a way to properly fix it.
The only thing "they" recommend instead is emailing their support with the host ID of the computer in question so that you would add this machine manually (or not)...

OK, I sent them an email. We will have to see if anything happens.

Hi mwroggenbuck, we are having issues with our emailing systems that you can read in this forum update. Until it is fixed, we recommend posting in the Missing Devices in My Contribution thread.

Just wanted to make sure that it is known that SCC WUs aren't validating (still pending validation) even if both workunits have been returned.

The SCC1 screensaver graphics also show IBM instead of Krembil/Jurisica Lab.

Does this mean that IBM have a role in the project again? :-)

I am running 2 clients (up to 5 threads for WCG on the Linux machine and up to 4 threads for the Windows one). I have 12 SCC1 tasks on my Linux machine (4 running) and some others). I told the WCG server I want at most 10 SCC tasks at a time, and it honors that.
