Re: Missing Devices in My Contribution

I too have a device missing, but I'm also seeing something else that I hope might provide a clue? I'm running 62 threads 24/7 with 12 of those threads used in my daily driver. The runtime and points listed on WCG seem low, and FreeDC and BOINCSTATS have much higher recorded points as can be seen in the chart below. The device that's "missing" is my 12 threaded system, while the missing points seem to be from one of my 15/16 threaded systems
Yeah, something is amiss since the restart after the hardware failure, but it seems this is ignored by the folks at WCG... sad

I haven't had time to try and determine this in more detail, but roughly, after the restart, my "output" in terms of runtime shown on the "Overview" stats page is about 20% below that "pre-crash". And this despite me adding several hosts during and just after the crash, including 2x 10C/20T i7 systems, with which I would have expected rather an about 10% increase instead...

While I can't say for certain, but by the general look at it, it seems I am not the only one that has noticed the discrepancy, but WCG still ain't talking...

Ralf

Cyclops have posted several times, that their mail system is down, or at least that it doesn't work as it should, and that they are working on it. So far, it doesn't look as if they have managed to fix their mail system.

So, they are probably not getting your mails.

Re: Missing Devices in My Contribution

Hi Cyclops.

I hate to add to your all's workload, but if/when the Tech Team has a moment, I have (2) Devices which have yet to show. I sent an email after waiting once WCG came back online and letting them run MCM / OPN a few weeks, but then saw the note about Email being currently impacted.

They are:

ID: 374479410
ID: 374479593

They were donated to specifically help WCG (though I ran some other things during the March Outage) and I'd like to be able to periodically report how their Gift has helped others.

Many thanks...

Re: Missing Devices in My Contribution

From an earlier email:

The following do NOT show up in devices:

OptiI7-7040 https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/contribution/workunit/287642009

skip-MS7C95-1 https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/contribution/workunit/287728147

skip-MS7C95-2 https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/contribution/workunit/287488311

skip-MS7C91 https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/contribution/workunit/287547869

The most recent of these is skip-MS7C91 which was brought up on or about 4/15/2023.

The others are older with the Opti7-7040 being the oldest. On other projects it shows as having been created March 4th, 2023.

The 1 active 'puter I see listed in devices is: skip-M11AD
https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/contribution/device?id=7720380&type=B

Let me know if I can provide something else that is more helpful.

Thanx, Skip

PS: Now I'm at a loss as only the last link seems to work!! The others all get me WU not found.

Re: Missing Devices in My Contribution

Hi FJT, Spiderman and Skip Da Shu, all of your device IDs and names have been sent to the tech team.

We did receive your emails and respond to them but due to an ongoing issue with our email system the response emails were never sent. Sorry for the confusion.

Hi vaughan-AMD, your device should be earning points as you crunch workunits, so if it is not then that's something that needs to be looked into. If possible, could you send some screenshots so we can investigate the issue?

Hi Cyclops,

8702793
8702797

Hi Gred, your information has been sent to a member of the tech team who should be able to add it for you manually.
