Where's the Work?

My 4 crunchers have run dry. Does anyone know what's going on?

Cheers coffee

Re: Where's the Work?

I am getting the very occasional MCM but no SCC. I have 1 for every thread but no spare and the weekend is starting. I have shut down 1 machine until another gets some more work.

Re: Where's the Work?

I was starting to run dry yesterday also, but this morning all machines have plenty of MCM WU's.

Oddly, there are intermittent Events in the Log stating there aren't any tasks available for MCM, but as the machines progress in computations, 20-mins later they download more. I'm seeing a mix of _0, _1, and occasional _2's.

The queues look "lean" as if they might not last long -- will see as the day progresses...

Perhaps try Folding@home, which never seems to run dry.
Cheers,
Mark

Re: Where's the Work?

I've checked (5) so far and the queues are filled to what they're supposed to be.

Re: Where's the Work?

Our slower systems are staying full, our faster systems (Threadrippers and now Xeons) are all running dry. Still a slow trickle- maybe a clump of 3 work units at a time come in.

Have similar weird things going on. Out of 3 identical CAD workstations, 1 just doesn't get any new tasks, other, slower crunchers are filled to the brim.

Welcome to the wonderful world of WCG....

Re: Where's the Work?

My MCM & SCC queues are full most of the time.

Re: Where's the Work?

I've seen a boatload of SCC work arrive while I slept - queues went from double to triple digits. Nice!
