I'm taking a break from all crunching for a while. It's getting a bit too hot here, now that late spring/summer temperatures finally have arrived. I will not even crunch during the evening or night. My streak will reset to zero, but that doesn't matter.

It would appear that retries for older MCM1 WUs are getting stuck at "Waiting to be sent" again. I doubt that I'm the only user with Pending Validation tasks held up because of this...
Some of them have been stuck like that since early on 2024-05-13! Once again, it seems likely that the settings used to ensure a plentiful supply of new work are effectively hiding older WU retries from the feeder processes; it has been a while since I last noticed a period when new work was in short supply, and the only retry I've received in the last three days was for an almost new WU... By the way, we are now up to WUs in the 5219xxxxx range and the WUs with stalled retries are almost all 5170xxxxx or lower. That's a long way away :-( So if anyone is seeing a build-up of Pending Validation results 6 or more days after downloading them, have a look to see if there's a stuck retry :-) Cheers - Al. |

I have at least a couple Pending Validation that are stuck in "Waiting to be sent" status. There could be more, but I found these toward the bottom of the Results:

I wonder if we will see ARP1's return in May. It would be nice to have a very, very rough ETA from the Tech Team (e.g. May 2024, June 2024), but that may be too much pressure based on things perhaps outside their control or staffing levels.

Indeed, Al, I'm also seeing a build-up of tasks Pending Validation where at least one wingman is missing, so that - if you look at the other tasks inside the WU - (at least) one other task has the status "Waiting to be sent".
They are all MCM1-WUs. When I last looked, my number of tasks Pending Validation was 467 and there were 47 tasks needing a wingman (i.e. 47 WUs with one task "Waiting to be sent"). Yes, I am seeing the same thing here, My pending tasks have gone up to 507, but I did not take the time to see how many were waiting to be sent., Maybe later. I am normally sitting at about 100 or so. The oldest one is from April 28 which has a " waiting to be sent " work unit from that date.
