The validation backlog for ARP1 has now been cleared (or, at least, mine has!) -- whatever the problem was, here's hoping the solution is permanent :-)
The mass validations show up as 9,843 results returned on the Project History page; note that at noon on 2025-02-11 there were no result statistics for ARP1 (and there were hardly any units reported in the generations.txt file) so [as far as the statistics are concerned] all those tasks got sorted out between 12:00 and midnight UTC! -- expect a very large number of generation changes to show up in the 2025-02-12 generations.txt file :-) Whatever else, it doesn't appear to have made much (if any) difference to new work availability as far as I can see. Cheers - Al. |

My machines have all been running low on tasks since yesterday evening. I’ve had to enable a backup project to keep them busy.
Anyone else experiencing this? Cheers, Mark |

I have. I barely get anything anymore. 3 weeks ago, I had to set 'No New Tasks' at times to prevent the backlog from getting to big. Lately (last couple of days) I have noticed that I rarely get 141s anymore. What little bit I do get is 138s or 139s only.

MCM seems to be sending out a good volume now. ARP will always be limited, but seems to be especially low right now.

The ARP1 numbers don't add up. The statistics history shows a continuous 6000 to 7000 completed per day. The generations.txt don't show that same number (only about 3000) in the num_units_completed_last_day column. One would think the two numbers would be close with only a minor discrepancy due to report timing.

The generations.txt show the number of units validated whereas the results show the number of copies returned. As at least 2 copies of each unit go out that ratio is about right.

Ideally, I would like half my threads to be running ARP1, but since the January restart I've barely got to 20%. Just now, it's less than 10%, and I'm also struggling to get MCM1. I'm not sure whether we have reached the capacity limits for the WCG system as it stands or whether there is currently a temporary issue restricting work generation. Cheers, Mark |

This is only a guess but I suspect that they are restricting the flow of ARP1 units by throttling certain generations. This would help earlier generations catching up.
Hopefully, with the new hardware bedding in, they may be able to increase the flow soon. Mike |

I'm going off grid for a few days, so I won't be updating the title of this post. The image updates hourly, so it will still give you a limited view into the system.
I'm getting a good supply of MCM and a steady trickle of ARP. Never enough ARP, but I seem to be keeping one CPU busy with ARP, and sometimes two. |

It seems to me that the supply chain of tasks to clients has stopped abruptly after 2025-02-15T12:26:09.
