The next article is a find by BarneyBadass posted elsewhere in this forum:
----------------------------------------U. Texas researchers discover weakness in HIV virus that may enable vaccine Researchers at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston have discovered a quirk in the constantly evolving HIV virus that they say will help them to develop an effective vaccine for the prevention of the virus in the next 10 years. "It is a long road; the virus has been around for almost 25 years, vaccine efforts have failed again and again, but we think we have a unique solution to the problem," said Sudhir Paul, a UT medical school pathology professor who has worked to find an effective combatant to the HIV virus for the past 19 years. Along with fellow researchers, Paul has identified one region on the surface of the virus that is mostly unchanging. He explained that this small region is critical for the virus to bind to cells; without this section, the virus would not be able to infect the cells. continued .... http://www.uwire.com/Article.aspx?id=1062458

Think i saw that a few days ago elsewhere and was obscured as at the same time the global number quoted was given as 33 million where previously it was 40 million... US number up, global down. Well, it is difficult to get good numbers for developing countries, not to speak of the taboo in many others, government directed, claiming "we don't have a problem".

Well, it is difficult to get good numbers for developing countries, not to speak of the taboo in many others, government directed, claiming "we don't have a problem". The rate is the following: each 11 seconds another person dies of AIDS in the world, comparing to new infections that is 7 seconds for a new HIV+ person (source of information: http://www.unfpa.org/aids_clock) |

The nano particles were just in a published study found to be at least as harmful as asbestos! For years warnings have been going out since they started to be used in e.g. sun-creams.... read the label! In the news, the Rockefeller University managed to capture the actual HIV particle forming in action: http://newswire.rockefeller.edu/?page=engine&id=764 On their front page is the link. Watch it while you can as it is bound to get archived soon. I'm sorry for my knowledge being short, at the time you wrote the quoted lines, lavaflow. But recently, despite not being an English article, but a (BR)Portuguese one [http://www.jornaldaciencia.org.br/Detalhe.jsp?id=58033 ], I've found a little of the same assumption that warns, and even saying the same words you did, concerning sun-creams... and goes further: "nanotherapy may be threatening human kind, a stealth 'villain', which has been being welcome by desperate people needing therapeutic medical assistance and exploited by some other people, desperate to make money, as a promise of, even, eternal life!" And the article goes on, warning such technology might get out of control and spread new diseases. Being so small and easy to be carried by the wind, through the air... "the American Chemistry Society has warned in 2007 that 'nanotubes' (carbon forms), already in production, are causing serious climate impact with the production of toxic and cancerous substances (MTBE, PBDE, PFO, and benzopyrene)", for instance. Right now, searching the internet for an equivalent article in English, I've found one [http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/blog/nsb052008_nano.html ], saying a lot of the same thing again. It's scary. Thanks a lot for the warning and concern. |
