I guess, Bill, that most of the crunchers on this system get all their beer from a store.
That's sad. Maybe it's User Friendly that needs OUR sympathy. ![]() Fred |

That's right, Fred. They are to be pitied.
----------------------------------------![]() By the way, HomeBrewers posted in the twenty-thousands of points for four consecutive days. Hopefully we'll stay there. I think we're now way ahead of target for making it into the top 500 by April 1st, and we could possibly even make it by March 15th, especially if we pick up a couple of more recruits in the next day or two. We're in a bit of a slump at the moment. On the plus side, our active members have clawed their way up to 216. This still means that nearly a third of our members aren't contributing noticably.
And it isn't always their fault... some have tried to run WCG on unsupported platforms, others have tried to make it run without the benefit of admin priveleges. I'm hoping some of these people will come back into the fold sooner or later. |

I guess only 2 so far today *IS* a slump. It would not be a slump for a smaller team.

I prefer to think you're all just gathering your strength for a final assault. You're planning something, I can tell ;-) I wish we knew what it was.

Tick... tick... tick...
Clock's sounding loud today, isn't it? I'm feeling particularly chirpy today because I just recruited a member personally. It's a good feeling. Actually, it's the first member I've recruited in the competition so far. The slump I mentioned was in our stats, not membership. We just got shoved out of the top ten daily points by some new upstart (team with 2 members!) |

Tick... tick... tick... Clock's sounding loud today, isn't it? <sigh> I've been working my buttocks off trying to recruit by posting like crazy in the brewing forums with my signature line promoting our team. My luck, and it'll be late tonight or tomorrow when I pick up a few recruits from this. ![]() Well, while you've beaten us out of our little pink silk panties, at least we'll end up in second unless an absolute miracle occurs. I think the other teams gave up early. Since you'll want to gloat in the end, I'll let you post the final stats if you want, but if I'm home at 6:30 I'll put them up to steal your thunder. ![]() Cheers. Bill Velek |

Congratulations, User Friendly. If HomeBrewers could have gotten just one more recruit, at least we could have kept you from beating us more than two to one.

Is this where we gloat?
Or perhaps, where we start thinking about a new competition? One that's not quite so loaded, where any team can win? We won! We won! \o/ |
