We don’t have any reasons for making this trek except for a drive to trek and a shortage of host teams
So this will be just plain hygge.

stayed on. If one, two, three of you decide to crunch permanently with top40.nl during
the month of July, you'll have a good Captain, and Base Camp will see it as a succesful trek.

Your work wil be added to SNURK’s team, but still credited to yourself as an individual cruncher.
Once you have donated as little as one WU, you will receive this badge
by the end of the trek which will be September 30, 2018.

Base Camp hopes to see the largest number of crunchers ever seen in a trek.
It’s about time SNURK gets a decent and well deserved pat on his shoulder for his work
not to mention a bandaid for the trouble he has seen during the conversion to comply with EU rules and regulations

Base Camp’s Grand Galla SNURK Celebration trek
began on September 1, 2018, scheduled to last for all of the month of September.
It took a weird turn when Captain SNURK at some uninformed mermaid’s request
entered his team into the THOR Challenge.
The THOR Challenge works by taking the teams with the most runtime from Round 1 to Round 2
and with the help of his old and four new team members and many crunchers who want to support SNURK
and thank him for his tiresless work supplying his WCG-famous signatures to everyone requesting one
SNURK and friends is now in Round 3 where the Top Ten compete to become one of the Top Three.

Do you like your SNURK signature? Are you at a loss saying ’Thank you, SNURK’ in a tangible way?
Well, Base Camp delivers a ready-to-eat solution for you.
Please leave your home team by Sunday 23:59:50 by the latest, join SNURK and friends
and you have said: THANK YOU, SNURK in the best possible way.
Because Base Camp regards the THOR Challenge a natural continuation of

4200 is simply the number of cores needed to pump out 100,000 CPU hours/day, 4,167 to be exact. That doesn't take into account any inefficiencies that there are. Now if it were possible for lil' NixChix with his computer, his wife's computer, his daughters old college laptop, and 7 old phones and tablets to add up to 54 cores, plus the multiplier of bunkering for many days to perhaps be as effective as 100 cores when that pent-up work I unleashed. The field marshall figgers that 41 more copies of that could put out 700,000 hours over the 7 days.

Now it is too late more latecomers to the party to bunker 7 days, but that just shows how achievable 100,000 daily hours is.

The field marshall's simple estimate is based on 1 core = 24 daily hours. Nowadays computers have multiple cores. Heck, one of the "old" phones in my pile has 8 cores. Some computers are pretty efficient, others are not. Some projects run better than others. This is just a rough guess to get us into the ballpark. If Eric_Kaiser can deliver 98 days/day, he probably has about 100 cores in his collection. 98 days/day is 2,352 hours a day. How many Eric_Kaisers are out there to help out SNURK? We only need 40 more.
